Hey, guys. Quick update. The poll to pick the name for the new VIP-like role for ghosters has now ended. I want to thank everyone who voted on this. Much appreciated. Your vote mattered even if your pick didn't win here. So without for ado, we can announce that there's a new title on forums, and it's no other than "Ghosting Legend"!
This name got 45 votes (57% of the votes), against 24 votes for Ghostmaster (30,4% of the votes) and 10 votes for Renowned Ghoster (12.7% of the votes). 79 votes for a poll on forums isn't that bad to be honest, so we'll take it, haha.
I legitimately didn't think this was going to be the winner when I suggested it in the first conversations I had with the other ghost mods/admins, but I feel like it's a decent name. Could already see people shortening it to "GL" in a couple of weeks, lol. But it is what it is. I'm sure it'll grow on us. We'll be announcing shortly somewhere in the forums (we'll let you guys know) what are the objetive requirements to get the role. There will be multiple possibilities to get this, but none of them are easy to get, so it'll be interesting. Right now we would have 9 Ghosting Legends right away, so you guys can theorize who they are while we are making some final adjustments regarding a few things about the role.
As of right now, the Ghosting Legend would have pretty much the same perks as the VIPs on forums. They can access an exclusive subforums (that will be created soon), they will get a badge and a trophy for becoming a Ghosting Legend and they will also be able to customize their user titles on forums, like VIPs and EAs can. There's some minor perks here and there as well like the ones that grant less limitations regarding posts (such as time of editing them) and conversations (like amount of players you can add to those) and maybe a few other minor ones (if there was one of those minor ones that we added for the Ghosting Legends that VIPs didn't have, we added for them as well). We are also considering making the Ghosting Legends being able to be some sort of voluntary Ghost Mods in some circumstances, such as being able to help a bit with the Top 100 list, feat ghost suggestions and other stuff yet to be decided.
If a player didn't get the role by the objective criteria, we think that the Ghosting Legends, alongside the Admins and maybe Ghost Mods can decide about an exceptional inclusion of a new Ghosting Legend. But we can take this discussion to the Ghosting Legend forums later.
So, now it's time for some final adjustments here and soon enough you guys will know the requirements for joining this select group and also you guys will know who are the players who are already among the Ghosting Legends of this game. Let's go guys!
