Bellboys (perhaps late but this is a cool thread) Good advice. I lean back and brake & accelerate, landing more on the back wheel some way usually. But with a lot of things in ghosting it comes down to feel for me.
(from official featured ghosts) I have decent game knowledge and I pause when I'm in a tough place, (both of those probs how I got 10th in FRWC6) but I just don't have the speed to spacebar like everyone else.
https://www.freeriderhd.com/t/211082-rumor-ft-dblu/r/shamatoz https://www.freeriderhd.com/t/10013-city/r/earthshine I'd figure this is the best place to put these ghost because I'm seeking some advice on how to make my trickghosts better I'm not the most innovative with tricks and these 2 are good examples of ghosts that have some repetitive elements in them, as well as less than clean execution overall So if there are any better ghosters than me, or any ghosters really, who have ideas or tips on how to improve these, such as any methods you might do before trickghosting (maybe scouting out a route beforehand or testing out tricks before attempting a ghost rather than making up a route on the fly) or any other way to improve these, would love to know Xenom mR..A pinging you both since you are good at trickghosting and might be able to give some help if you're willing to
I think they're both great ghosts . The little reset in the first one definitely doesn't take away from the ghost, it was clearly intentional, and the rest of the ghost is great, the endurance is insane. The second one is a little repetitive, but the control and endurance are insane
BackPain I saw your message on OFG Thread, I will write some advice below. https://www.freeriderhd.com/t/927984-n7641r/r/drained_sink Here is my ghost: https://www.freeriderhd.com/t/927984-n7641r/r/tplacella There isn't much to look at for the first ghost. You had a good start, but whenever a ledge or jump won't be cleared smoothly, try aggressively leaning back and releasing to get more height to go over it quicker. Also, as there was a sloped set of lines already there when you turn around, there is no need to brake, it is better to get momentum and when you turn around from curved, you gain speed. This principle is only helpful for flat areas where braking stops the bike faster when needed. https://www.freeriderhd.com/t/943693-preview-3/r/Drained_Sink I haven't played the track The ghost is very impressive! The route was played well and you made minimal mistakes. There isn't much to talk about here, just lean back more for speed and better trajectories for jumps. There are more specific things but it doesn't matter if we address that. I don't spacebar so some of this advice may not be the best (do you spacebar btw?). But ye, you have great abilities and ideas to ghost tracks faster, just try to work on the approach and technical side "What is the best way to do this jump and maintain flow/speed?", "if I do this, what will happen to the rest of the ghost?" Remember, the best way to get better is to practice, play a variety of tracks and ofc, ask for advice like you did. I hope this helps
ngl spacebarring made me worse at the game. i used to never spacebar and get decent times. now i can't play without spacebarring and i still get the same times.
btw, i do spacebar. but im still trying to figure out the fastest ways to do tracks and getting better!
Watch my input display: https://clipchamp.com/watch/Sp3mpLKexAt I am not using an fps slower or anything, I purposefully slowed down the video so you can see the inputs. I did it the slower way as I'm used to lean back strats when the rider is facing the right. The original capture is here for those who think I cheat: file:///C:/Users/TPlacella/Videos/Captures/Hop.mp4
any tips on getting a faster time? https://www.freeriderhd.com/t/247002-tetrations-challenge-34/r/backpain
I've thought about making a tutorial on going fast and getting good times. I feel like I have a pretty intimate understanding of the game at this point, especially from a non spacebar perspective. after like 8600 top 10 times on the community classics it is largely feel and instinct but I think I could actually explain it pretty well lol
