    *Since neither TPlacella or braw completed the track, they both got eliminated and since the best time among the players that lost their matches in the Losers Championship was from Coated_Badger, he'll advance to the next stage of the Losers Championship in the spot that either TPlacella or braw would take.

    PS: Congrats on everyone that advanced to the next stage. Goodbye to Chaos-Fallen, adversitas, Cerulean, TPlacella, braw, pawflix, WrzodX and Cynosure.

    PS2: Matchups post soon.
    PS3: lol, you got saved Coated_Badger since I did mention that rule a few posts ago:

    Some crazy matchups. We are down to only 4 players that can get the final crown. All of them are undefeated and have won all matches so far, and they faced some tough opponents. Let's see who'll get the final gold medal. Also, the Losers Championship is looking really good. Everyone fighting for a spot in the 3rd Place match. It should be interesting. We don't have the track yet, but we'll have it tomorrow, if everything works. In the meantime, I'll try to get the new poll up soon. I'm very tired since I did a lot of stuff today, so I'll let the commentary for tomorrow, maybe around the time I announce the new track. Let's go, guys! We are starting to reach the final round, so now things are starting to get good. Also, pro tip: You guys saw what happened with Coated_Badger last round? Advanced even with the loss. So that's a good motivation to always keep trying to improve your ghost, especially if there's some other players that did not complete the track. Good luck, guys!

    Hey sorry about the low effort this time around. Kind of bad timing with mid terms and housing issues. Currently researching how to file a 30 day notice for an early lease break and find new housing. Fun stuff. Hope everything's having fun with this and good luck in the final rounds!

    Sadly I don't think I should have joined this time.

    So here we go again. Man, we had an interesting round we had in the Quarterfinals! Yeah, I know that I was a bit absent due to my recent trip I mentioned, but it was a very needed one. As for the round, the challenge was huge, since we had a massive track by Innominate, that we'll talk about soon. We now have the 4 Semifinalists for the Winners Championship and we are also making some progress in the Losers Championship. Let's see talk about what went down.

    THE TRACK:

    First let's talk about the track. It was a huge track made by Innominate and I feel like most people had mixed emotons about it. The track was indeed really good, a cool ride that wasn't hard to complete but that was really tough to do flawlessly. A track that had really interesting parts and although there's no really bad parts in the track, there were a places where some extra checkpoints and a few adjustments would be helpful, especially considering it's a huge track supposed to be completed in a round that is only 3 days long. But overall it was a really dope track, really nice effort by Innominate. Keep it up, man!

    THE RESULTS:

    WINNERS CHAMPIONSHIP:

    Uniior 2:00.40 vs 1:53.73 Reborn

    The first match of the Quarterfinals was a very interesting one. Uniior was showing an extreme consistency in the contest. He was the 6th place in the Qualifiers, had the 4th best group stage combined time and got a solid win against an experienced Chaos-Fallen. Those results (despite the upset against Setsu in the Group Stage) and his great year in ghosting made people believe he was the favorite against the experienced Reborn. The poll was 8-5 in favor of Uniior but Reborn got the W with a relentless deathless ghost. Uniior did well, but it wasn't enough to beat Reborn this time, that is being remarkably consistent this year. He got some ghosting awards, some features and is doing great in this contest. He got in the top 8 in the Qualifiers, which made him a pot 1 player in the Group Stage, got 3 wins in a group that also had players like Sidewalk and RubeGoldberger, beat adversitas in the Round of 16 and now got this MAJOR win against Uniior. We know that he's facing a giant in the semifinals, but if we learned anything about Reborn in this contest, is that we can't really understimate him. Reborn finished with a great time, 4th place in the round, got the W, and is only 2 matches away from a medal. Can he do it? As for Uniior, he got the 7th best time in the round and he'll go to the Losers Championship, where he's totally one of the favorites to secure the Losers Champion trophy and get the spot in the 3rd place match. Let's see if he can do it. Good luck, guys!

    RadiumRC 1:35.40 vs --- Stevie.T

    What can we say more about RadiumRC? We already know everything we need. Once again, the guy crushed everyone with an early great ghost that exploited an interesting cut and wasn't beaten after that. It seems like he doesn't even sweat about it. Yeah, it's unfortunate that Stevie.T didn't make a ghost, but I think sometimes we just realize if it's worth it spending that much time on the track or not. Not sure if that's the case for Stevie, that has been doing great so far in the contest, but even if it wasn't, RadiumRC seems nearly untouchable when he puts his mind to making a ghost. Can someone defeat this giant? RadiumRC, that had 11 votes in the poll against 3 from Stevie.T, wins once again, remaining as one of the undefeated players in this year's Free Rider World Cup. He had the best time in the round. Stevie.T didn't ghost and now is moving to the Losers Championship, where he probably has good chances on doing good. Good luck there!

    Setsu 1:56.13 vs 1:36.77 Cerasium

    This match was interesting, although we kind of saw where this would be probably going. Cerasium was the favorite in the poll with 13 votes against 2 from Setsu. Setsu did great, a solid sub 2 minutes ghost, but it wasn't enough to beat Cerasium, that just like RadiumRC, only had one tiny mistake on his run, that also exploited an interesting cut using the gravity at some point. Setsu had an amazing performance in the contest so far and after beating Uniior and ShamatoZ in matches where some players thought that he was the underdog, he ends up having a respectful send off to the Losers Championship after his efforts against Cerasium here. Cerasium had an insane ghost this round, that was pretty close to RadiumRC. Is he the antidote against RadiumRC? The chosen one that could beat the Untouchable Man? We'll need to wait to find out. But he'll have a tough challenge first in the semifinals first. Cerasium ended up with the 2nd best time in the round, while Setsu had the 5th.

    Cork 1:57.80 vs 1:50.63 Xenom

    The last match of the Quarterfinals in the Winners Championship was probably the best one. It was the closest one at least. The poll was 9-4 in favor of Xenom and he didn't disappoint. But Cork was brave until the end and had a great ghost as well. Cork ended with the 6th best time in the round and is moving to the Losers Championship. As for Xenom, although I'm really mad with him right now since he just recently beat my 2 last fast ghost features that literally took YEARS in the making and eliminated me from the Winners Championship in this contest, I have to say that is he's undeniably having an insane contest performance so far. Yeah, he'll have his toughest challenge ever in this game in the Semifinals, but what he did so far in the contest is already remarkable, especially for someone with little to none experience in previous big ghosting contests. The guy finished 5th in the Qualifiers, had the 3rd best group stage combined time winning all 3 matches, beat me in the Round of 16 with the 3rd best time in the round, beat Cork in the Quarterfinals with the 3rd best time in the round as well, so the guy is doing insanely good. Congrats, man! Keep it up! As for Cork, despite his great time, 6th place in the round, he will be moving to the Losers Championship. Good luck there!

    LOSERS CHAMPIONSHIP:

    TypicalEshay/CHARREDLIZARD21 2:21.07 vs 2:26.60 Chaos-Fallen

    The first match of the Losers Championship was probably one of the best ones. After their first match in the Group Stage being a win for Chaos-Fallen, I mentioned in the expectations for this round that I was wondering if we would have "payback time" on this round, with CHARREDLIZARD21 securing a revenge win over Chaos-Fallen. AND THAT ACTUALLY HAPPENED, haha! The poll was a brutal 11-2 in favor of Chaos-Fallen, so that was something. I think only CHARREDLIZARD21 and a guy named emans showed faith in CHARREDLIZARD21, that got this major upset over Chaos-Fallen. Really crazy! Congrats, man. CHARREDLIZARD21 will advance to the next Losers Championship round, while Chaos-Fallen is sadly leaving the contest. Good stuff, man. I hope you liked this one! 10th best time in the round for CHARREDLIZARD21 and 13th best time in the round for Chaos-Fallen.

    MatthewMatthew58 4:01.47 vs --- adversitas

    It's not the end of the line for MatthewMatthew58 yet. The guy is doing great in the contest and will advance to the next round after this win, where he got the 15th place in the round. Sadly adversitas, that was the favorite in the poll (11 votes to 2 from Matthew), didn't ghost the track, so he'll be leaving the contest, unfortunately. He did great in the contest, managed to get this far and had some memorable moments, like the win against WrzodX in the Group Stage. I hope you enjoyed it!

    lightninggod 12:45.40 vs --- Cerulean

    Do I hear a 3rd upset in a row? Yeah, that's right. Cerulean was the favorite to win (12-3 for him in the poll) and lightninggod didn't have a great ghost, having only the 17th place in the round, the worst place for someone that completed the track, but it was enough to win, since Cerulean didn't ghost the round. So with these results, Cerulean will be leaving the contest (I hope you enjoyed, I know you were a bit busy) and lightninggod will advance to the next Losers Championship round. Congrats!

    TPlacella --- vs --- braw

    Well, not much to say here, just that no one got this one right, haha. The poll was 8-6 in favor of braw, on what was supposed to be an even match, but none of them completed the round, so we will have a replacement for them. I'll talk about that later, though. Both players are, unfortunately, eliminated from the contest. I hope you guys enjoyed your time here.

    pawflix --- vs 2:33.77 ShamatoZ

    Resurrecting from the ashes after the loss against Setsu, ShamatoZ did a good ghost that was enough to defeat pawflix that didn't ghost. Unfortunately, pawflix is eliminated from the contest. I hope you had a good time here. As for ShamatoZ (that was the favorite in the poll by 10 votes to 3), after getting 14th place in the round, it's time to face new challenges in the Losers Championship. Let's see how that goes.

    WrzodX 6:34.60 vs 2:25.43 Sidewalk

    A legend says goodbye and another legend stays a bit longer. This was a sad matchup to begin with, since one of them would probably need to leave the contest after this, but both of them did great. WrzodX did what he could, finishing with the 16th placed time in the round, while Sidewalk, favorite in the poll by 12 votes to 1, finished with the 12th best time in the round and got the W. WrzodX is leaving the contest, unfortunately. It was fun seeing you back, I hope we can see you in a contest like this in the future. As for Sidewalk, he's a strong contender for the Losers Championship crown, so I'm excited to see what he'll do there.

    R1ley070 2:16.63 vs 2:25.20 Coated_Badger*

    I called it right. In the last expectations post I mentioned that in other times this probably would be a match that wouldn't bring too much hype or get too much attention, but this changed for sure, mostly because of the evolution of these ghosters lately, especially in this contest. This ended up nothing just being the best matchup in the Losers Championship this round in terms of skill level, but also a very interesting round where something really rare happened with those ghosters. First of all, let's just mention that the poll was a draw, which is already quite rare (I think it's just the 4th time it happens in this contest). It was 6 votes for each player. During the round, Coated_Badger had already a good ghost and R1ley070 didn't ghost at first, so it was looking like Coated_Badger had the win. However, getting close to the end R1ley070 managed to get a good ghost and beat Coated_Badger, getting him the win after securing a good time, showing some good skills. He was the 8th place in the round, with the best time from all of the Losers Championship players. Not bad! Coated_Badger was a bit frustrated with the loss, but he actually got saved here, haha. I mentioned in a post before the end of the round that if both players for the same matchup didn't ghost in a round, that the best placed player (the one with the best time) among the players that lost their matches in the Losers Championship (the same could be applied to the Winners Championship, though) would advance in the place of those players that didn't ghost, as if they were the winner of that match. That was what happened here. Despite the loss, Coated_Badger has the best time among the losers in the Losers Championship, so he'll be advancing to the next round as well, haha. Always improve your times, people. Even if you already is going to lose. That's the lesson here, haha. Good luck to both players in the next round!

    Cynosure --- vs 2:19.63 Totoca12

    Well, let's end up on a positive note for me, haha. Unfortunately, Cynosure didn't make a ghost, which made me get the win without much trouble. I was the favorite in the poll (11-1 for me) and I was able to secure the win with the 9th best time in the round. I'll advance to the next Losers Championship round. Good luck to me!

    EXPECTATIONS:

    WINNERS CHAMPIONSHIP SEMIFINALS:

    Reborn vs RadiumRC

    IT'S TIME! Semifinals are here. We can already feel the medals getting closer and closer. Who's gonna get them? We have here 2 players that won every match in this contest so far. RadiumRC is the Untouchable Man, the Master of The Cuts, the Early Round Killer, the Silent Destroyer, the All-Time top 1 ghoster on FRHD, the top 1 in the Official Featured Ghosts leaderboard, the player with the most 1st Place Ghoster Of The Month awards, the man to be beaten. But what's one title that RadiumRC still doesn't have? Free Rider World Cup champion. It's his second time in the contest, he finished in 11th place last year, but now he's coming for the crown.

    What could work in Reborn's favor then? Is everything doomed for him? NO! IT ISN'T. Yeah, yeah, RadiumRC's times are better than Reborn's times in this contest, but Reborn is showing great resilience so far. Reborn did get a tougher group than RadiumRC (no disrespect to anyone), wasn't the clear favorite there and still came through with the W doing great. Got a nice comeback against Sidewalk and actually had to beat adversitas in the Round of 16 and Uniior in the Quarterfinals. RadiumRC kind of scared everyone, so Cerulean and Stevie.T didn't even ghost, with everything being resolved with pretty much 1 ghost from him in each track. Cerulean pointed out that it was a dangerous tactic, since it could backfire if someone managed to pull off a last minute upset. Maybe that's the chance for Reborn, but we all know that is really hard to beat RadiumRC when he puts his mind into doing a great ghost. Let's see if Reborn can do it! Good luck, guys. I'm expecting a great battle.

    Cerasium vs Xenom

    Well, this is a WAR! Young legend Cerasium against young legend in the making Xenom should be a spectacle! Look at what these guys did so far in the contest:

    Qualifiers:

    Cerasium --> 3rd place
    Xenom --> 5th place

    Group Stage Match 1:

    Cerasium --> 1st place
    Xenom --> 3rd place

    Group Stage Match 2:

    Cerasium --> 2nd place
    Xenom --> 3rd place

    Group Stage Match 3:

    Cerasium --> 2nd place
    Xenom --> 1st place

    Group Stage Combined Time:

    Cerasium --> 1st place
    Xenom --> 3rd place

    Round Of 16:

    Cerasium --> 2nd place
    Xenom --> 3rd place

    Quarterfinals:

    Cerasium --> 2nd place
    Xenom --> 3rd place

    These guys are KILLING IT! Cerasium is the favorite, but if anyone could come to him and pull off a surprise in the contest from this side of the bracket, it's probably Xenom, like he did with his 1st place overall in the Group Stage Match 3 round. I'm curious to see who will prevail, this should be good! Good luck to both players!

    LOSERS CHAMPIONSHIP QUARTERFINALS:

    TypicalEshay/CHARREDLIZARD21 vs Uniior

    Things are getting close to an end in the Losers Championship as well. What a matchup! I feel like Uniior has an edge here, but people thought the same about Chaos-Fallen against CHARREDLIZARD21, so let's see what happens here. It should be good.

    MatthewMatthew58 vs Stevie.T

    Nice matchup. Is it the final chapter for the surprising MatthewMatthew58 or will he be able to pull off an upset against Stevie.T? We'll need to wait and see.

    lightninggod vs Coated_Badger

    Really interesting matchup. I'm pretty sure both players thought they would lose in the final moments of last round, but both are here still alive, so let's see if they manage to do the best they can to continue in the contest. Will Coated_Badger put his resurrection in the contest to a good use? We'll need to wait and see.

    ShamatoZ vs Setsu

    It's time for revenge. Setsu beat ShamatoZ in the Round of 16, so let's see who prevails here. An insane matchup! Curious to see who wins here.

    Sidewalk vs Cork

    A battle of very experienced ghosters. Both ghosters can produce insane ghosts when they are motivated, so let's see if we can see a great battle here. I hope we do! Crazy matchup.

    R1ley070 vs Totoca12

    It's time for me to face R1ley070. A very surprising player in this contest that is giving everything he has and it's showing. Let's see how I'll compare against his form on this new track. Let's go, guys!
