would be good to get some active people to submit more runs and get more categories

 

To be fair I could easily get the WR in all the categories for the 10 campaigns no joke (besides single ghost times) but who bothers it is so time-consuming to get an insane run. I can't settle for mediocre. I should get back into it more though. What new categories could there be? Fastest time to 1k points on random tracks or something? Specific hard and long tracks done in RTA? Some ideas but idk.

 

yeah, not a lot of competition. I would say go for it anyway. The more runs on the leaderboard, the more people will care to join (maybe, idk). I think getting more players on board is more important for now than adding new categories.

Dude, you should totally go for the Desert Sun cut. That would be insane!

 

A couple of days ago I was doing attempts for Training Wheels Off and was behind you I think time wise in Desert Sun and failed the cut. Then I was ahead of you and decided to take the normal route but then smh choked I was so mad. Besides Learning the Ropes, the easiest campaign to get consistent times is probably WaterWorld so I will give that a shot first.

 

Imo, i loved the idea, and that'd be very cool. I already have 3 runs btw

This thread is kinda dead (and the speedrun.com page should be more active), so i'll bump it by asking some questions and maybe inviting friends

1. Does any super moderator have any new plans at the page, like adding more moderators or new categories in case new players join it? I looked at the news, and it said there may be ce, but it'll need approval of a src admin. And some of the mods are semi-active (or inactive, such as radium)
2. Can the player curated tracks be uploaded at a main or alt account already with tracks, or in a shared account? I don't wanna make an alt and ask for oa just for that (not gonna specify much)

i agree, would definitely like to see the srcom page get active. truthfully i never made the time to re-jig the page like i wanted to after i got mod, and i am just way too busy nowadays to run/moderate it actively. same goes for the original team of mods; rube hasnt logged in for months, radium quit, and me and nitro both have uni/jobs/internships to attend to. i am more than happy to give ppl mod (perhaps with the guidance of some GL's etc) to make the page active again. open to suggestions and the like in this thread or on discord
