just want to give an absolutely massive thankyou and round of applause to Totoca12. what you have done for this game and the ghosting community in particular is nothing short of amazing. your dedication to frhd and the community, the time you take out of your days to moderate this game certainly does not go unnoticed and i have massive respect for what you have done.

I am Shocked! absolutely shocked to find out that Symantec cheats at the game! i always thought he was such a clean player who made good ghosts. i never once thought that he'd be a cheater! my goodness, i really don't know what to think now.

i have something to:
say since rn you guys cant figure out if im legit or not cuz i broke my fingers, i want to say that my send this to someone you hate ghost and my 2 bolaside II ghosts are besically fake.
sorry for all the trouble, but the rest of my ghosts are actually completely legit.

for bolaside and send this to someone you hate, i just exported the ghost midghost and if i died i would just go back to that part, but it's really complicated and time consuming to recreate so im not gonna do it again.

but im being completely honest rn, the rest of my ghosts are fully legit,
but yeah i was being stupid and i was like "huh i wonder what i can do with this export thing", and rn i wouldnt even have time even if i wanted to to recreate what i used on bolaside and tafr's track. anyways sorry for all the dumb sh‫‫‫‫it i caused and yeah

that's the thing - you just cant. the only way that we can know without any doubt that the rest of the ghosts are legitimate, is by getting Symantec to re-ghost them with a hand-cam on stream (or through a similar method), and only verifying his features then. i guess then, however, you would also have to extend this rule to other ghosters with histories of cheating

it's quite a shame really that it has come to this, because the cheats not only ruin the leaderboard but ruin the fun for everyone who plays the game legitimately. it brings into doubt the accuracy and point of the featured ghost leaderboard (ie "why tf should i try and get a feat ghost through hours of hard work, if someone can just cheat and beat it in 1 minute?"). the only thing i can think of is to make ghost submissions harder by enforcing the need for video and keystroke/hand cam evidence, but that is not up to me to decide (although, I will point out that the sr.com page would/could negate this)

i think between this and other examples of cheating, there definitely needs to be harsher penalties for this sort of thing. this is made harder by there being no active involvement by kano, but nonetheless id highly suggest the feat ghost mods/admins of the game think of something appropriate. on the one hand, this is a 13 yo kid doing something dumb on a niche bike game - but on the other hand, this sort of thing ruins the game for many others, and letting people get away with cheating and even allowing them to continue to ghost does nothing to dissuade this sort of behaviour

the fact that we have almost no tools to detect cheated ghosts is not a good thing

I really, really hope those were the only 2 that weren't legit, because it would not be cool if it were another situation where all the ghosts are cheated

only issue is the ghost itself, if Symantec did what he said he did, he could technically have just exported the entire ghost code when he was fooling around, and played that back with keystrokes to make it seem as one fluid attempt, even if it was done legit in segments.
And one other scary thing is he could do real attempts, then playback the real ghost and submit that, and that would not be good, since that would seem very legit since it has keystrokes and it's showing live attempts, so it would appear legit

 

You could just remove spacebaring and ghost like men but keep having problems with cheaters ig
