He streamed them (don't know if all of them, but I don't know if that matters), but if that is not enough due to the insanity of the ghosts then I don't know if there is any other way Symantec can prove it besides probably streaming another incredibly difficult track on stream of mods choice to eliminate any possibility of a pre-TAS'ed ghost and that would basically be it. A newly-made track might be better to really be sure. It would have to be near the difficulty of his suspicious ghosts and a decent length to prove anything. That is what I think anyway.

Oh ok thanks for clearing that up. I feel a bit silly now for suggesting that .08 is insane. I remember reading somewhere there are 2 ticks per frame, but I guess I was mistaken. Now I'm back on the fence again.

are... you implying that he cheated in the past? Maybe I knew, but forgot... either way that adds a whole other thing to consider in all this.

If you missed a lot please read other recent posts (just go back 1 page). No one said Symantec cheated, only that his most difficult flawless ghosts are suspicious.

this thread seems like the ultimate ratio killer (unless you post long messages?) so i want to say everything in one post
      - tools like ikigai's frhd commands are very helpful if you know and care enough to understand what the data mean, but simply having numbers to wave around isn't helpful for basically anything. (edit because it seems like people aren't getting my point on this one: input frequency (from ikigai) and spacebar frequency are barely correlated, but have essentially no meaningful relationship. as far as i understand the algorithm isekeb used, if i spam all 5 keys 4 times per second, this is 4 * 5 = 20 inputs per second, or 1.5 frames per input. this wouldn't happen in a normal ghost, but is entirely doable by hand on the right track. tl;dr don't draw conclusions from numbers you don't understand based on concepts you think you understand (like what i just did))
      - if you're cynical, streaming ghosts means nothing. i have tools that let me play ghosts back as the rider (which is super helpful for making tool assisted ghosts, as it lets me stop in the middle and come back to it later), and i could theoretically do a "stream" where it's just me replaying a ghost with some spacebarring. the tools i currently have are pretty sensitive (which is ok for my purposes), but i could pretty easily make them work a lot better.
      - heck, if you're cynical, there's probably also a way to fake a handcam.
      - help symantec is holding my family hostage and he says he'll kill them if i don't say nice things about him.
      - there's basically no way to make a web game uncheatable, especially given that tools like requestly can be used to load in code from other sources to replace the intended code. (although i don't know if that would interfere with the checksum feature for remote scripts in html? either way, making the game uncheatable can basically be ruled out as a solution)
      - it's definitely quite sketchy that symantec has done so much first try on stream. even if he's completely legit, i wouldn't be surprised if he also practices tracks off-stream, and that's ok! it's also possible that there is a massive skill issue in the frhd community, and that symantec is simply a god among us mortals.
      - the upwards tube on bolaside ii is tough, as in really, really tough. as someone who has made 2 different tool-assisted ghosts on bolaside ii, that was probably the hardest part both times.
      - send this to someone you hate is tough, as in really, really tough, and i'm a bit surprised that i didn't see fail screenshots from symantec on the parts i thought were some of the most difficult. the fact that (from what i can tell) it took 2 1/2 or so hours from the first fail screenshot i saw of the end to him beating the track does lend him some credence, as would any potential viewers if he had streamed it (i'm not sure because if he did, it either wasn't anywhere i could see or i missed it, but he might've, and this would help his story).
      - easy jumps should be harder in all the best ways, so please look forward to that.
      - L + skill issue

i feel like if Symantec cheated in the past, there close to no question he is cheating now. it seems obvious. i really do hope its not true

i think there's a way to explain the way that symantec's inputs are so close together and that is this way:

you can hit z twice within 2 frames by pausing via spacebar, holding z, releasing spacebar, then release z, and you will have turned around twice, i watched the streamed ghosts
and i'm pretty sure this is how he z'd so fast on http://frhd.co/t/858585/r/symantec (i watched him do it this way on stream) and he also could've possible done this on other unbelievable ghosts mentioned beforehand

hitting z within 2 frames is only 1 tick between inputs so that could significantly lower the ticks between inputs

i also would love to see a handcam too if possible

(hitting z within 2 frames while holding up is only possible if you have a capable keyboard)

So obviously I am the only one who actually did this, so I want to apologize for reacting and putting as much emphasis as I did to numbers that I didn't fully understand let alone what is considered reasonable for those numbers. That part ended up nearly as pointless as Zycerak's post, but worse because it involves questioning a player's legitimacy. Sorry Symantec. If I'm going to question you or anyone's legitimacy, I'd better know what I'm talking about.

what's reasonable for a good spacebarrer is around .10 - .13 (i average around .10-.11) extremely few people can get lower than that
people who aren't as good might get around .20 - .30
there's only 3 people i know who can consistently get .07s and they are as follows

      Unknown-Rider
      Xverse
      and Ultraviolet

not sure if you might have forgotten but you have to release z for one frame before you can press it again
one way I do this (more like try) is unpause, press z, release, then press again and repause, it's sketch

I might have also misunderstood the way you explained it. The way it's written, it makes it sound like you pause, press z, resume gameplay and then release z, which would be one turnaround

getting .07 consistently isn't that hard, but this really depends on your spacebar, since if you have a big spacebar, it's gonna be harder than if you have a small laptop spacebar
      but yeah agreed

hopefully not true, let's hope nobody is too quick to judge and the wrong decision ends up being made

no, we must figure this out, one way or another. People want symantec to be a cheater so we’re all in a close circle of skill range again where anything’s possible, rn there’s no (0.0000000%) hope of ever beating symantec and the ghosting community will die

my hardest tracks list doesn't have an order, but I would say bolaside is around #2 or #1. no way in heck rotate 4 is the hardest

e: the tube at the end of boladside took me 15 in game minutes

yeah RubeGoldberger his average inputs are crazy even to me even though he's not the only one who can do that nor is it the best proof not to make you feel bad again though. Idk how relevant this is but I ran https://www.freeriderhd.com/t/259615/r/sidewalk through ikigai and my average time between inputs was 3.6 ticks. This is one of the ghosts I've worked the hardest on out of any of my ghosts and I never let go of the spacebar much at all even though it might look like I can just hold up and right on the climbs. I wasn't as I had to carefully manipulate how I accelerate and such because of the steepness and necessary adjustments. So I would have the same doubt as you if ppl like xverse and ultraviolet hadn't already been around doing the crazy fast inputs, but it doesn't take away from the craziness of it so don't feel bad about your understandable reaction. What sets symantec apart is obviously the duration and also his control which is something that I agree with chaos on. The upward tube on "send this to someone you hate" and the one almost at the end of "bolaside 2" were insanely controlled. The amount of adjustments he makes in that short amount of time in that small space are nuts. Coming from someone who does between .10 and .13 analyzing someone who apparently claims to do the same, it frankly seems impossible, from a completely reality-based viewpoint. Those parts don't look legit visually to me quite honestly but I have difficulty speaking in absolute terms in general so maybe someone else would just say it can't be legit. Also, as chaos said his continuous lack of brake control is crazy. I brake quite a bit when I tube when I can. It takes an extreme amount of precision to not die on impact without braking in tubes as he does, especially with mtb. https://www.freeriderhd.com/t/878577-killer-love/r/symantec exemplifies that. RedOrBlue's serious disbelief is a pretty big factor imo, he knows what he's talking about. You could point to how much practice Symantec has put in or his suspected desire for praise or whatever but those two factors have totally existed for me. In terms of practice or desire to be praised, it would take an awful lot to have more of that than me. I know people "evolve" in terms of skill through time but symantec couldn't have put a whole lot more into the game than someone like me, so the discrepancy in skill level is just insane and doubt is very much understandable, which I do have myself.

guys im just gonna come out and say i believe syman. as much as i would like to stay at my prestigious #1 tuber rank, it no longer belongs to me. also, i know for a fact that tas replays are possible because i used them in this ghost: https://www.freeriderhd.com/t/870782-tas-ghost-with-a-death-desc/r/cerutas
i don't know why or how, but my intuition says syman is legit
