My friend recently has gone through a hard breakup. He wont drop her and can’t get over her. She was actively seeing someone else during their relationship and he still wont drop her because he hangs on to the hope that she still loves him. It sounds like your relationship with this girl wasn’t as serious or toxic so I won’t suggest that you drop her, but I feel like if you should reach out again. You got this.

 

That’s tough for your friend. Our relationship wasn’t toxic at all but I would have thought we were both serious about the relationship and willing to fight for any troubles we may encounter since we were thinking of a long term future together.

With that out of the way (not being rude), Wyatt you should go to her. I don't know much more like anything about relationships because, I'm just a measly 17 year old LOL. I do have crushes but I keep it as that. Too much of a wuss to express my feelings to a girl (nervousness intensifies). Anyways, if you both still have a heart and feelings for one another, I guarantee it's worth a go. Hope all goes well an I respect whatever you mind goes for. You got this . It's ok to have strong feelings for her. She probably misses you if she still as the necklace. Probably as a memory thing or something; idk. I'd say go for it. Stay cool man

Good question. Though I think that's a question you have to answer yourself. No one here can tell to force you to trust them if you simply don't trust them. It also depends on the reason to why you're like so and how. Nothing comes unexpectedly without a purpose. Maybe it seems like it is but maybe not later.

I have a question for you. Have you ever reflected why your actually angry? If you're angry, you have the choice to stay angry or not to stay angry; as you yourself has made that decision to stay and make stuff bother you. As I said before, people can tell you not to be angry but it's up to you to make that move. Just like doing a project. It may be hard to start it but the best thing to do is just do it. Don't try, actually do it.

My opinion, man in general in this society, are leaned towards worldly possessions and/or self gain. But you have to find the right people in this world of selfishness. Some are nice, others are cruel. You just gotta find the right people (repeating to set a foundation).

Have you ever talked to your teachers about the classroom behaviour?
If doodling, clapping feet or hands together makes you focused, LET THEM KNOW. Literally, make them aware of this issue. If this is bothering you so, keeping yourself silent will just leave you in more agonising discomfort while they won't give any attention to what you're longing for. If you don't make your problems known in the classroom, how are the people who can help make those changes going to know what you need?

Diagnosing yourself with OCD or ADHD is really far fetched unless you actually went to a professional. The symptoms of both are VERY BROAD and I don't trust it. Most of the stuff is just learning skills and can be fixed with proper training, teaching and improvement.

Yes depression never helps anything. It just leads you to self-pity and suicide. No need to go there. I don't know how church involves in this but you bringing that up tells me you haven't told them what you're feeling. As I stated earlier, if you stay silent, no one can help you. If you can (and if you trust), talk to your pastor or something. I do that sometimes an they're able to help me out.

OK stop beating up yourself. That's not going to get anywhere OR make others feel empathetic (or is it sympathetic. one of them). I say it's good to talk to someone about this if it's troubling you so. Friends? Hmm what's stopping you from getting friends? Is it others or yourself? Or is there another factor to this? EVERY MAN NEEDS A FRIEND. Yes; everyone needs a friend. From the poorest man, to the richest, from the smartest, dumbest, hotheaded and shy. Everyone needs a friend.

And another thing, people won't always be happy. You'll have down periods but as I said before, it's up to you to find that ray of sunshine in a cloudy day. Sometimes, you need help and that's what friends and family are there for. I was on a emotional roller-coaster since ~2019 and yet, I'm still having those periods, they're coming more and more easier to deal with.

Hey dude, just take it easy. Tell your parents how you feel. Also tell your teachers so they know what's going on. You may feel better knowing there's people who care for you. If you don't trust them, I can't help you there dude. You gotta make that move for yourself.

Haha!! I had the best start to the week!

Since Sunday night, I've gone to bed from 12-3am working on a project for grade 12 chemistry. And for the past 48 hours, I only spend 8 of those hours sleeping. Not just that, it gets even better. I can't go to sleep for 30-40 minutes. I'm super stressed out as I'm trying to finish it + having 3-4 lessons of chem work daily + 2-3 lessons of functions work, I'm racing all over the place like an headless chicken.

Ok I just realised that my heart rate is abnormally high at night and sometimes through the day. Like I can feel my own heartbeat in my chest at times. I'm always on the get go, always working and not sleeping. I don't want to go 3 days without getting sufficient sleep because I'm starting not to feel tired at all. Worst of all, I'm out of shape, not eating right and barely drinking water so there's more to contribute to my already amazing start to this week. I don't look tired but, I'm terribly drained. I know the risks of lack of sleep (immune system can get compromised, body doesn't heal properly, no REM/Deep sleep, heart rate is elevated just to keep up) but how am I suppose to fix that when I have a project due tomorrow.

I'm pretty much stressed out to the point of not even caring about my well being. Body aches, head hurts, overtired yet still going. I could pull an all nighter tonight but, I may not be able to pull through the next morning. I try so hard to encourage myself to push through this and what's only on my mind is the instant sigh of relief when I finish this fricking assignment.

I guess I'm ok.

Only 1 hour. Then I spend the rest of my night doing work (till around 10-11 pm. 12 am if it takes long)
It just got to the point where there's too much to handle

then maybe your work would go by faster if you focused on it. i get you though im doing the same thing lol
i got a project due tmrw as well which i should probably continue to do
i think that if you just develop a habit of taking an hour break after school, then completing all your work in one shot, you'd probably finish in a reasonable amount of time. if you have a project and you know the due date is in a while, dont slack on it, just do a small amount of work each day instead of everything at the last minute. but i dont know what your work is like, so i could be wrong. btw do you have a desk or something that you use a computer on, or do you just use a laptop in bed or something? because a way to fall asleep faster is to associate your bed with sleeping only. if you lie there on your phone or laptop for a long time every day your body will still be in a work/leisure mentality instead of a rest mentality when you finish working and try to get sleep. if your brain is still running you probably just need to take a break from screens and food for about an hour or so. go read, draw, listen to music, or take a bath if you havent already or just want to go again. finding time to exercise in the day also helps with sleeping, because if you just lie around all day you wont have used enough energy to even need to rest, and that is bad. if you feel like it, go take a walk outside during that hour you put off work. go ride a bike if you can, or just do some exercises in your room. the only way youll fall asleep is if youre tired. tbh i dont know your lifestyle, and you could be doing a lot of these things, and if you are, great. take this advice with a grain of salt. but if you arent, and you want to get in a habit of good scheduling and sleep patterns, then try some of these things. trust me, i used to be in a similar situation to yours (at least sleep-wise), and it helps.

 

Imagine a voice in your head that constantly talks. A weird second voice in my brain that isn’t my real thoughts. We both talk over each other and can converse but it’s becoming louder than me. Not sure if if’s my ADHD or what, but that’s my situation. When I’m in class, talking to people, making subpar tracks, or lying in bed awake at night it’s always there. Just insulting me, badmouthing my friends, telling me gross things, stuff like that. I’ve had to learn to talk to two things at once. Sometimes it makes me feel like I’m going insane. Imagine having a nice interaction with a stranger on the sidewalk. Then they apear in your dreams to cuss at you and tell you to do bad things to yourself. This is also my situation. People I’ve seen and people I haven’t all show up there. A embodiment of that voice in my head, only two times worse. I only have bad dreams and they always turn into this. It also doesn’t help that I almost always remember them. Usually after I wake up for the first time early in the morning. I try to convince myself that it’s ADHD that keeps me up at night. In the back of my head I think it might be that I don’t want to dream. My brain is basically constantly torturing me. I kind of hate it.

And now I’m talking about it on an online forum for a bike game.
Yes it was bugging me the whole time I was writing this.
I try not to listen to it.
I’ll keep on going for as long as is possible.
I know that this screen could make it harder for me fall asleep but it’s 11 and I’ll be awake until 3.

She's an abusive, manipulative liar who doesn't give 2 shits about the mental health of her own children. She encouraged me to commit suicide when I was 10. When my teacher saw that I was really struggling with mental health, she told the principal about it, my principal calls her and my mom yells at me saying that I'm an attention seeker and now, me and my sister went to bed late and she started screaming at has and saying how we're useless assholes who are good at nothing.

you know what sucks for me MOVING, im going back to texas and ive known since the beggining of the year. it sucks because there are so many people i would love make a relationship with and become friends and things like that. but since im moving ive just held off on that because i dont want to get attatched to someone knowing im leaving and it sucks.

 

I'm moving too and my sister is totally freaking out about it. I've done the same thing, not bothering to make new friends. Not fun.

 

Hey guys, this is gonna be pretty deep but who cares lol. up to when I was about 10 my mom SA me. I got an UTI once from SA and was too scared to tell anyone. The way that people finally knew that this was happening is when once in like 5th grade my teacher got mad at me from asking to go to the bathroom because of the UTI and made me go to the principals for "making fun and causing a disruption to her class"(she thought that's why I kept asking. WTF) Anyways, I went and he asked why I had to go so much and I told him that I just really had to go and I think he somehow knew cause he sent me to the nurse who sent me to a doctor that day who confirmed i did, indeed, have an UTI. They immediately knew it was my mom cause I was living with her and yeah, she's in jail. That's my little ranting story lol, never really told it to many people. Still makes me mad that people tell me that I wasn't SA because I was a boy.

 

Little bit of stuff here: I know usually people don't talk about this stuff and it might be too innapropriate so I'm sorry. Also, IDC if you talk about it lol, i went to therapy for like 5-6 years and have kinda moved on. Anyways thx for letting me share
