UPDATE:

Yeah, guys. I know. It's been like 3 months since the last update but we all have been busy with a lot of stuff, so we really couldn't do it earlier. Not everyone in the team could help with every suggestion, so we'll go with the reviews made by Madara and I, with some opinions from Eryp on some ghosts we were on the fence. Without further ado, here is the aftermath of the reviews:

NO FEATURES:

Anonyymi (1):
https://www.freeriderhd.com/t/768079-wirrwarr/r/anonyymi - Despite it being a good ghost, it still lacks some top-notch competition and it's clear that Anonyymi's ghost could be improved. Cynic still has the lead for some time, so I guess we could have improvements here. No feature.

Apocolypse (2):

https://www.freeriderhd.com/t/241570-colossus/r/plenitude - Kind of similar to the ghost above. Great ghost, great cut, but not impressive or clean enough. Shoutout to you because we can see you are improving, but the ghosts are not there yet. Keep improving, though.

Blank_Guy (1):

Cerasium (5):

Also, if we compare it to RedOrBlue's ghost, he would probably win if he didn't die, and since it was for a ghosting contest, we feel like it was "challenged enough" so we'll say no.

https://www.freeriderhd.com/t/550741-walmart-yodel-kid/r/cerasium - We liked the auto cut, it's a sick one. But to quote Madara's words: "This is just a good auto cut. I don't see it as feat worthy. His opponents are also quite close to him. This aint it for me."

Chaos-Fallen (1):

CHARREDLIZARD21 (2):

We only have one featured vehicle trickghost, so you aimed for something different than usual, so I respect that. But since you pretty much can't die with the truck and since it's quite repetitive, it's a solid no.

Fluoride (1):

RedOrBlue (6):

The track is just smooth, lol. And yea i saw that some sort of reroute near the end but it wasn't that hard to do. It's pretty good but I don't see this ghost fitting on the feat list.". So although we agreed it's a good ghost, we decided to not feature it.

RubeGoldberger (2):

Sidewalk (6):

Madara pointed out that it's good, but that it's also kinda short, so since I didn't think it was quite there yet we ended up deciding to not feature it.

Zycerak (2):

CHALLENGES:

Backtwice (1):

Cerasium (4):

CHARREDLIZARD21 (1):

RedOrBlue (2):

Then, RedOrBlue, Sidewalk and tetrationiscool joined the party and beat or tied with we_are_number_one. RedOrBlue is first now, but his ghost isn't that impressive. Tetrationiscool choked really hard and wasted a chance of getting a feature here. So I guess we will put it as a challenge.

Madara was more inclined to a feature, I wasn't sure, Eryp wasn't sure either. Let's see if someone can improve this. If people can't maybe we could feature this. But it's a very good ghost.

ShamatoZ (1):

Sidewalk (4):

https://www.freeriderhd.com/t/844395-accord/r/sidewalk/zycerak - Good ghost, but Zycerak tied with it being better in many spots, so I don't think a feature is fair here.
https://www.freeriderhd.com/t/72241-crystal-caves/r/sidewalk - Great ghost, but Madara and even your old ghost took the lead sometimes, so I don't know. It's solid, but we think it's beatable. So we are making a challenge here.

Stevie.T (2):

tetrationiscool (2):

Unghosted (1):

It's almost there, we had people voting for a feature here, so we would like to see some people trying to beat this before we think if we'll reconsider this or not.

Zycerak (3):

Sidewalk (2):

Yeah, maybe some people could beat this, but we would like to see them try. Madara said: "The glitches in this track is crazy. He did it pretty smoothly. Sidewalk2 (1):
https://www.freeriderhd.com/t/711385-vivre-pt-2/r/sidewalk2 - We really don't know what to do here, haha. Apparently this shows up as legit in all of the tools to check for TASed ghosts. We still think this is kinda suspicious, especially since we don't know who that is, but I guess we had to do something about it eventually. If this is legit, it's a feature, there's no question about it. We tried some stuff, but none of them were conclusive enough. We are open to any smart ideas to verify the legitimacy of this ghost. But for now, Sidewalk's unofficial alt is getting a feature, I guess. 1st feature and fast ghost feature for you.

tetrationiscool (2):

The ghost has some really small mistakes, but no one was more active than tetrationiscool and Cerasium last month, so this battle makes things more interesting. They both beat a very solid suggestion from Sidewalk, so we can see a feature here. 31st feature and 28th fast ghost feature for you.

I guess that this was what happened on that case.

 

I agree. But that ghost was suggested and so far we couldn't prove it isn't legit. So idk, lol. It could be a more refined TAS or something like that. Hard to say.

 

With some of the tools made by the community we usually can detect duplicate inputs, that usually indicates cheating (especially if there's too many or if they are from some specific keys), which many times ends up being TAS. We have ways to see the average time between inputs as well, so if that number is weird we can many times assume that someone is using an auto-spacebar program or something like that. Whenever we used those tools to check Sidewalk2's ghost, the results came off as legit, or at least something believable compared to some other tube ghosts like Cerulean's for example.

If the ghost isn't legit, which would be reasonable, the player is probably using something a bit more complex and refined to save the ghost code, in a way that it can be detected as legit in our current tools.
