You can use shadow but just use a bit under the tree, don't use too much

JacobCahoon Timartin showed me it at school. Looks good, no faults really... You have done a heck of a good job!

 

With this track, I tried to do my own style. For the rock detail, nasarani suggested that I do it that way. I didn't want to copy a track

 

I actually used that as a reference for the trees. Maple helped me with the snow. And Nasarani helped me with the rocks. So it does look like that, but I didn't mean for it to.

 

I thought this was an idea board.. Not the detailing thread..
Why don't we discuss ideas for tracks? For example, I'm working on an abandoned military base inside an ice crystal cave that is being engulfed by an ever-expanding, living snow. Maple helped me with the idea.
Thoughts?

Here's an idea that I haven't exactly attempted, but has been sitting in the back of my mind for a while. Has anyone ever thought of making a progressive detailing track? For example, the track starts with no detail, and then slowly becomes more and more detailed until you are in a huge detailed world. If I were to attempt this, I would probably do it as a collab with a few people. Is anyone interested?
