      What a legendary 20th feature. You cut almost 20 seconds from tetrationiscool's time. Insane! So now you will be the 7th player to reach 20 features in the list and receive the Legendary Ghoster Medal. Congrats! After Anonyymi, Madara, mR..A, Zycerak, RedOrBlue and Cerulean/Sharkfin, it's time for Xverse to be among the legendary ghosters. Congrats, man! You also beat Cerulean's record of being the fastest to go from 1 to 20 features. He did it in 76 days, but you set the new record for that making from 1 to 20 features in only 65 days. Crazy stuff! All of your features are fast ghost ones, but you are really becoming a master at climb tracks and some kinds of trials. Nicely done!

      Took me a good while, but I took this feature from Backtwice.

      It was always a classic auto cut that I tried to beat, where I had many close calls over the years and now I did it. My keyboard is still broken, but I'm getting used to the rebinded keys I'm using for ghosting. Still not anything close to my 100%, though.

      Backtwice goes back to 6 features and I return to 5.

      Is there a category for TAS ghosts? Not sure how this one would stack up, but it looks so effortless in such a chaotic track that is supposed to be an auto lol.

      We don't have a category for TAS ghosts at the moment, but this one is indeed legendary. Maybe we can think about a category for that eventually, but maybe not exactly here in the Official Featured Ghosts thread. Or at least not in a way that it would be counted for the ranking and the amount of features, but mostly like a showcase of cool TAS ghosts.

      I think the skill ceiling has been busted wide open by newer spacebarrers, that's all. I can't help but think this sort of thing happens with a lot of games. Old pros get surpassed by newer players and then the same happens when the new players become "old" pros.


      or standards are falling, pretty sure it's not that though

      old standards becoming old*. as the game grows older so does the skillbase we have to work with. it makes sense that old ghosts and standards become obsolete

      New players get better quicker that their predecessors, and get better than them.
      I definitely have noticed big skill jumps from years ago, compared to now.
      More time with the game gives new strats, and more improvement available compared to earlier times.
      When I first joined, the ghosts I saw didn't look what they would have looked like, had the players had the current day skill.
      The combination of time, and new strats leads to newer players getting better, and faster.
      I believe it's more to do with strats, though.
      As with time, improvement is inevitable. (For an example, compared to when I left (early June, 2020) to now, I have noticed improvement in my skill, even though I havent been as active in ghosting as I used to.

      I definitely agree with your statement, newer players improve far more, and faster than older players. And then the cycle repeats.
