Sydney Siege

For everyone that has heard about the Sydney siege, (Australia) all of my love goes out to those families and those people who are being kept hostage.
Those 5 people who escaped were very lucky and I wish them well!

They keep on saying that they have to not put out their opinions and any other imortant information but they keep on giving them out

I hadn't even heard but, my condolences. Hostage situations aren't exactly the best.

So sad that there are still innocent lives lost today from radical extremists.

 

Things like this happen a lot in the states, and Americans don't even pay attention to it, but when stuff like this happens in other countries it's a big deal to them (and rightly so). Seriously, Obama made a big deal out of the shooting in Canada's capital building or whatever but he doesn't have anything to say about the consistent deaths caused by terrorists in the US, and most of them aren't even publicized by news stations... it's pathetic. A thug is shot in Ferguson by a cop using self defense and that causes riots, but innocent people are murdered in the US by muslims and overlooked by news stations, and the president. America's morals are buried in the past.

Every time I think about whats going on in this country I get pissed. Screw it I'm moving to Canada.

Can I get a quick summary of what exactly they're being held for? I've been hearing of it, but don't know anything about it.
