Congrats to the finalists Backtwice and mudkip! Backtwice made his first ghost with less than 2 minutes left. 2 last minute wins on a row for Backtwice. Mudkip also performed extremely well and beat Chaos-Fallen by 0.07 seconds. New matchups, full results and post about the round soon.

LOL. It was entertaining for sure. You can rest for 4 days so we can finish the Losers Championship to see who else will be on the 3rd place match. Championship Finals against mudkip starting in 4 days.
You did great on the contest so far, and there's still a possibilty for a medal with the 3rd place match, so good luck with that as well.

Hey, guys. What's up? Time for the usual talk about the rounds. We had another crazy one: the Semifinals.

First, let's talk about the track. As most of our tracks, we were struggling a bit with getting everything right for the deadline. Exylies made the track, but he was a bit busy, as most of us from the team or the trackmakers are recently, but he ended up sending the track on the last day. We felt like it was good, but a bit short and with a possible shortcut, so with the authorization from Exylies, Eryp and I added some extra stuff for the track (that whole section with the floating parts and some minor stuff), and then Exylies made some minor adjustments so it was good to go. I personally think it's a good track, but I'm terrible at climbs with the BMX, so I couldn't ghost well on the track. On the editor, I did some great times (around 30 seconds) with the MTB, but I couldn't replicate this with the BMX, lol. But still, the track was great, so thanks Exylies for your work on the contest.

Now about the round itself :

    WINNERS CHAMPIONSHIP - Semifinals

What a Semifinals round! We had 2 epic matches on this round on the Winners Championship side, so let's see how they went.
(PS: Props to all of the contestants, since all 16 players still on the contest completed the track)

The first one was the epic match between Cerulean/Sharkfin and Backtwice. That was the one that got people more excited for, due to multiple reasons. In the previous round, Cerulean pulled off a cruel last minute win against RedOrBlue, that was the favorite to win the contest according to most people. That match got a lot of people talking about it and granted us an awesome meme from RedOrBlue. But if the society didn't evolve before, the Finland great education system got it back on the right path now thanks to Backtwice's epic move. For the second time in a row, Backtwice only ghosted on the last minutes of the round and got the W. In the previous round it seemed to be by accident, but this time it was clearly planned. The winner of the 2nd edition of this contest back in 2016 is on his second Free Rider World Cup final, ready to take another trophy for Finland. As for ghosts, Cerulean decided to ghost the track right away, and after some improvements, he got a solid ghost of 29.03, that got him 2nd place on the round (behind RedOrBlue) but ahead of anyone else on the Winners Championship. Around 40-50 minutes before the round ended, I was online after updating the times for the last time before the deadline and Backtwice hadn't make a ghost yet. I was starting to think that Backtwice might have forgot about this, until like 20-30 minutes before the round ended, when I got online on Discord and saw him online there, and also on the forums. That made me remember the last round, and the FRWC2 in 2016, where Backtwice used to do this tactic almost every round. He was saying he was studying some math stuff, but I totally knew what was going on and was pretty sure he had already a ghost ready, since he was talking on the Discord. The thing was that I wasn't sure if Cerulean would do the same thing or not. Last round Cerulean pulled off a last minute victory over RedOrBlue and Backtwice did the same thing against DrChill, so I wasn't sure about what would happen. We got closer to the end and then with less than 2 minutes remaining, Backtwice got a ghost, a 28.73 ghost, that made he even get 1st place overall. The last 2 minutes passed and Cerulean didn't make another ghost (he stayed with his 29.03, 3rd place on the round), so it was done. Backtwice did it again. Another last minute win. Another Free Rider World Cup final. Cerulean will now rest 4 days to know who he is facing on the 3rd place match other than Chaos-Fallen, since there's still the spot for the Losers Championship champion left on the 3rd place match. Backtwice will also have 4 days to rest, until he faces mudkip on the finals. The poll was 17-6 for Backtwice, and he took the win. Backtwice left Pie42, Cynic and YourAverageIndian behind on the Group Stage, then beat NotVeryGood, DrChill, and now Cerulean. Will he be able to beat mudkip and continue the Finnish Dynasty for the 5th time in a row? Let's wait and see. As for Cerulean, he left Coated_Badger, RadiumRC and Wolf777 behing on the Group Stage, beat legendary ghosters Madara and RedOrBlue on the way, but fell before the Free Rider World Cup champion Backtwice. Great job, though.

On the second semifinal we had an excellent match made by 2 legendary riders. It was time for Chaos-Fallen vs mudkip. After getting 1st place on a group with adversitas, Symantec and HafiSyah, Chaos-Fallen beat Uniior on the Round of 16 and the great spruce on the Quarterfinals, where he got a 1st place overall on the round. So he was on a great vibe. Mudkip has been more quiet in the comments and just doing his thing, but he got 1st place on a group with NotVeryGood, Kanvo and Unadvertised, and then beat Pie42 on the Round of 16 and Giampitek on the Quarterfinals, some great performances as well. Still, people thought Chaos-Fallen would win this, so he got 15-6 favoring him on the poll. In the reality, both activated the beast mode and did some really great ghosts. Chaos-Fallen started stronger with a better ghost, but later mudkip beat him. Later, Chaos-Fallen shortened the distance from 0.13 to 0.07 second and tried to improve the ghost on the last hours of the round, but couldn't do it. Still, what a performance for both ghosters! Chaos-Fallen finished with a 29.57, 5th time on the round and mudkip got a 29.50, 4th time on the round. Really crazy! For mudkip, I know you are an epic ghoster, but I don't know if you think you would make to the Championship Finals, but still here you are. You will have an insane task to beat Backtwice, one of the biggest legends in the ghosting community, that has already won an edition of this contest. Still, if you made it this far, you for sure can put up a fight, and that's what we want to see. As for Chaos-Fallen, what a contest. You still has something to fight for, though. You will face Cerulean and the winner of the Losers Championship on the 3rd place match in 4 days. So both of you guys have 4 days to rest. Enjoy!

    LOSERS CHAMPIONSHIP - Quarterfinals

On the first match of the Losers Championship Quarterfinals, it was time for RadiumRC vs RedOrBlue. Madara did forget to improve his ghost against RadiumRC's excellent ghost last round, so RadiumRC advanced to this round after beating a great ghoster. But the task of advancing this time wouldn't be easier. He would face no other than RedOrBlue, and although RadiumRC did a really good ghost, it wasn't enough. The poll was 15-1 for RedOrBlue and it went as expected. RedOrBlue had just been eliminated from the winners side of the championship by Cerulean, but he kept the good work here and got an excellent 28.87 time, 2nd place on the round even not being on the Semifinals. Crazy stuff. RadiumRC got a good 32.07, 10th place on the round, but it wasn't enough. RedOrBlue will be on the next round, on the Losers Championship Semifinals, where he will have an epic 1v1v1 match against DrChill and Stevie.T, while RadiumRC is sadly leaving the contest, after a great perfomance. You did great, man. You made this far, had a good win over Madara and some good times overall, nicely done! I hope you liked it, and I hope we may see you on the next one.

On the second match it was time for Apocolypse vs DrChill. It was 14-3 for DrChill in the poll and he didn't disappoint. DrChill did a great 31.93 time, 9th place on the round, that was more than enough to beat Apocolypse's time of 39.17, 14th place on the round. Apocolypse took a bit to ghost the track, but beating DrChill was a really tough challenge for sure, so good job for trying at least. DrChill will face RedOrBlue and Stevie.T on the Losers Championship Semifinals, while Apocolypse is sadly leaving the contest. Thanks for joining, man! You are one of the most important people behind this contest since you did the first track, detailed SCrane's track and is working on the collab track for the finale, so thank you for helping, and also for doing a decent job as a contestant. You managed to stay in the contest for 7 rounds, so great job, man! I hope you liked it and can come back on the next one!

On the third match it was time for Stevie.T vs NotVeryGood. It was a cool matchup, but this match was easily won by Stevie.T. The poll was 14-4 for Stevie.T and he didn't disappoint. Stevie.T did a solid 31.27 time, 7th place on the round, that was more than enough to beat NotVeryGood's 46.40 time, 16th place on the round. Stevie.T will be facing RedOrBlue and DrChill in a really cool match for the Losers Championship Semifinals to keep fighting for the 3rd place overall, while NotVeryGood is sadly leaving the contest. I know this wasn't your best round, but thanks for joining, man. You lasted 7 rounds and did a great job overall. You couldn't join the last one (or the previous one, I'm not sure), since I guess you came in too late, but you joined this one and I hope you liked it and can come on a future one.

On the fourth match, it was time for me to say goodbye as a ghoster in the contest. It was the rematch between spruce and I. Different track creator, different track, same result, haha. The poll was 16-1 for spruce as it should be, haha. I remember when we got on the same team back on the NFRL, you were the 5th pick and I was the 8th, we had similar skill levels (Stultus/Zycerak was a bench player, haha. Different times), but now things are different. You evolved into a legendary offroad ghoster, and a great ghoster overall, with some nice ghosts on trials as well and I kinda got stuck, haha. I feel like the main thing is that I'm usually not spending as much time ghosting as before, so I feel like I might be worse now than I was before, lol. If this whole contest was made on my trials or at least my kind of trials, I for sure could have put a great fight, like I did for Madara. But since it isn't, I'm happy with how far I made on this contest. Back on the first 2 FR World Cups you were starting and didn't do too well, while I got 3rd and 4th place, but now the tables have turned and you got another deserving victory over me on this edition of the contest. Well-played, man. Spruce got a 31.27 time, 7th place on the round, and I did a shameful 41.80 on the round, the 15th place on the round. As I said before, I didn't have much time to ghost on the first 2 days, but I did today and still didn't improve. Yeah, I totally could have made a 35-ish seconds ghost if I actually tried for a while, but I knew I couldn't beat spruce, especially since I really suck at climbs with the BMX, so tried a bit and then left it as it was. No problem, though. It will be good so I can focus on only hosting the contest, while handling some stuff from college. I'm sadly leaving the contest, lol. I plan to try to do this contest once a year, but it's too early too make any promises, haha. Spruce will be fighting in the Losers Championship Semifinals, on a match against Giampitek and BoostButt. That will be crazy, let's see what happens.

On the fifth match, we had the best Losers Championship match on this round by far. It was time for Uniior vs Giampitek. Uniior is a great ghoster that has been doing good on the ghosting community lately, with some great participations on recent ghosting contests and Giampitek is showing to be one of the great surprises of this contest, and on this last round he showed that again. The poll was 9-5 for Uniior, but that was not how it turned out in the end. Despite a relatively close match for a bit, Uniior had a confortable lead for a while, and just like against Zycerak, Giampitek played "kinda dead" until the last minutes of the round and then pulled a great trick agaisnt Uniior. I just realized that after checking the screenshot I took, lol. Uniior got a good 32.50 time, 12th place on the round, but Giampitek got a surprising last minute 32.40 time, 11th place on the round, enough to put him on the Losers Championship Semifinals. Really impressive! Giampitek keeps surprising us and is going to fight spruce and BoostButt on a really crazy Losers Championship Semifinals match, while Uniior is sadly leaving the contest. You honestly did great on the contest, so I hope you liked it, man. I hope we can see you again on a future contest, you are a really dope ghoster with a bright future in the ghosting community.

On the sixth and last match from the Losers Championship Quarterfinals, we had BoostButt vs Pie42. The poll had it 13-4 for BoostButt, and he didn't disappoint. Showing an impressive performance on every round of the contest, BoostButt did a great 29.67 time, 6th place overall on the round, that was enough to beat Pie42's 35.87 time, 13th place overall on the round. BoostButt will advance to the Losers Championship Semifinals, where he will have a crazy match against spruce and Giampitek, while Pie42 is sadly leaving the contest. Pie42, you did great on the previous 2 FR World Cups you joined, not sure if you expected to go further than you did this time, but it was still a great run. You fell before a really great rider, with a respectable time, so I think it was a good ride. I hope to keep seeing you on those and I hope you liked this edition. See you around!

PS: Just remembering that these next two quick rounds will be only for the Losers Championship, so Backtwice, mudkip, Cerulean/Sharkfin and Chaos-Fallen can rest until the Championship Finals track on February 19th (6pm PST, 8pm CST, 9pm EST, 11pm BRT)/ February 20th (2am GMT) starts for the 1st place and 3rd place matches
PS2: New poll will be up soon.

Updated the poll. Also, here is the new track, made by Rayb25/Holystone: https://www.freeriderhd.com/t/786553-frwc5-lc-semifinals. The track was made a bit late for multiple reasons and we had many last minute changes, so the ride might not be 100% smooth, but Rayb25 really tried to have something out today and he did, so props to him.

Also, this round is only 2 days long, so there's only 44 hours and 24 minutes left until the end of the round. Backtwice, Sharkfin, Chaos-Fallen and mudkip don't need to ghost it if you guys don't want to. I'm excited to see the outcome of those 1v1v1 matches. Let's see how it goes.

E; I swear this won’t happen again unless I forget that this round is only 2 days which will probably happen
