So here is my commentary, hope you enjoy

Ok so here we are with the qualifiers of the highly anticipated Free Rider (High Definition) World Cup 5, run by Totoca12, Eryp, BrandonBishop50 and Madara. We had 70 participants enter this year but only the 32 will make it through to the group stages, quite a few of these entries happened during the qualifier round. The qualifier track was made by Apocolypse and Totoca12 and the most controversial part of the round was a small, very narrow tube on an upward slope made by Totoca12, which caused many complaints from many riders. Only 48 finished the track (from when I last checked) and here is a recap of the top 20 ghosts.
And off we go, everyone is relatively close together but adversitas can be seen dropping off the back only very, very slightly. At about 3 seconds BoostButt has gained a very slight lead followed by RedOrBlue and Backtwice appears to be third. BoostButt is first to the first star, with RedOrBlue very close behind and backtwice in third, a small gap has opened between 2nd and 3rd at the moment. BoostButt is also first to the first checkpoint, with RedOrBlue right behind with the gap between 2nd and third (Backtwice) opening up, while Cerulean and Chaos-Fallen round out the top 5. To the bomb flip and a decent gap appears to have opened up between 5th (Chaos-Fallen) and 6th (Stevie.T). After the bomb flip RedOrBlue takes the lead from BoostButt and Chaos-Fallen has moved to 3rd overtaking Backtwice. At the second star and RedOrBlue is in first and BoostButt narrowly edges out Chaos-Fallen for second, while Apocolypse appears to have fallen off the back. At the second checkpoint it appears that BoostButt and Chaos-Fallen have caught up to RedOrBlue, but RedOrBlue pulls ahead with an almost perfect jump, while Chaos-Fallen jumps too high and into third, Backtwice also moves into fourth. While RedOrBlue may have had a perfect last jump, he goes a little bit too high on the next one and BoostButt overtakes, while Backtwice moves into a narrow third ahead of Chaos-Fallen and Madara who look like they are currently tied in 4th and Apocolypse is still off the back of the peloton. Into the gravity change and BoostButt has widened the gap between him and RedOrBlue and Backtwice in third starts to close the gap between him and RedOrBlue. At 14.73 three main groups have appeared in the race. The top group consists of BoostButt, RedOrBlue, Backtwice, Chaos-Fallen, Madara, dumptruck/spruce and Sharkfin/Cerulean in that order. The second group, or the peloton, consists of 12 riders: mudkip, Stevie.T, Symantec, Giampitek, RadiumRC, Uniior, Pie42, NotVeryGood, adversitas, Zycerak, Totoca12 and DrChiil in that order (but Zycerak and Totoca12 are tied. The third group consists of Apocolypse who is 0.3 seconds behind DrChill at the back of the peloton. Into the 4th checkpoint and where gravity returns to normal and RedOrBlue catches up, but so does backtwice. Boostbutt appears to have maintained a narrow lead over RedOrBlue and the same with RedOrBlue with Backtwice. Giampitek and adversitas jump very high at the gravity change compared to the others and consequently lose some vital positions. After the next two jumps RedOrBlue has overtaken BoostButt, while Backtwice remains close behind. dumptruck/Spruce has fallen off the back of the front group and mudkip has pulled away from the peloton slightly, while adversitas joins Apocolypse right at the back. Off the roof jump and RedOrBlue has made a decently-sized gap between him and BoostButt, while Madara, Chaos-Fallen and Cerulean close into Backtwice. RedOrBlue is first to the 4th star, with BoostButt and Backtwice close behind and Madara and Cerulean round out the top 5, with Chaos-Fallen and now mudkip close behind. After the bomb jump 3-7th get very close and it’s almost impossible to tell who is where, but RedOrBlue has a clear lead and closely followed by BoostButt as more people fall off the back of the peloton. Giampitek, Apocalypse, adversitas and forum moderator Totoca12, have dropped off the pace. RedOrBlue the clear leader after the gravity jump, with BoostButt maintaining a healthy gap between himself and third. Bactwice, Cerulean and Madara practically tie to the gravity change, closely followed by Chaos-Fallen and mudkip. RedOrBlue makes a mistake, deciding to jump lower allowing BoostButt to once again take the lead and RedOrBlue to get muddled in the big pack of 6 riders battling for second. At the checkpoint before the tight tube and BoostButt has a slight, but clear lead, with Backtwice second and Madara third. RedOrBlue is fourth, Cerulean fifth, Chaos-Fallen sixth and mudkip seventh. All of the riders, brake apart from RedOrBlue who leans too far back and dies, while BoostButt cleanly gets through the tube in first. Madara enters the tube second closely followed by Cerulean. RedOrBlue enters the tube fourth, making a fast comeback from his earlier death, while backtwice just edges out mudkip into the tube with Chaos-Fallen in seventh. RedOrBlue exits the tube with Cerulean and Madara, but BoostButt continues to hold a strong lead, while Zycerak, out of nowhere and subsequently overtakes, mudkip, Backtwice and Chaos-Fallen. At 28 seconds, BoostButt has a comfortable lead and looks like he will take this out without a mistake, while Madara, RedOrBlue and Cerulean start battling it out for second, with mudkip on their tail, zycerak has overtaken Backtwice and Chaos-Fallen thanks to his amazing skills on the tube, but DrChill is lurking only slightly behind Backtwice and Chaos-Fallen in 9th, with Uniior, dumptruck, Stevie.T and RadiumRC all in contention for a 10th place, with Cerulean, mudkip and RedOrBlue all closely behind. BoostButt makes it onto the final loop and it’s crazy, with 5 riders all neck and neck in the order of BoostButt, RedOrBlue, Cerulean, Madara and mudkip. They all flip and RedOrBlue has taken the lead, a major comeback from his earlier death, with BoostButt and mudkip closely behind. RedOrBlue wheelies into the final star with ease to come first in 31.13 including a death, while mudkip and BoostButt tie for second but thanks to my ground-breaking, modern-day photo finish technology, mudkip reached the star first (image later on). Madara just beat Cerulean by 0.03 seconds for fourth with a time of 31.37. Backtwice cruises into sixth after being in a podium position for a majority of this race with a time of 31.53. Chaos-Fallen comes in 7th with 31.67 and DrChill who was 19th just before 15 seconds makes a great comeback for 8th with a time of 31.77. Spruce/dumptruck overtakes Zycerak right at the end who looked like a chance of the top 6 at the end (that is about zycerak) with a time of 32.27 (this is about spruce). Zycerak rounds out the top 10 with a time of 32.33. Uniior comes in at 11 with a time of 32.40 and RadiumRC gets 12th with 32.97. Giampitek was a massive surprise, an unknown ghoster (which I’m guessing is an alt), comes in 13th with a brilliant time of 33.17, tying with adversitas (photo finish to be used later), it is also a great comeback from Giampitek who was right at the back with Apocolypse (from Memory) at the last gravity jump. NotVeryGood does very good (get it?
) to get 15th in 33.43 and has a great ending to beat both Pie42 and Stevie.T who come in 16th and 17th with times of 33.50 and 33.73. Apocalypse makes a comeback from being at the back for the majority of this race by overtaking Symantec and Totoca12 to come 18th with a time of 33.83 while Symantec overtakes Totoca12 at the end to get a time of 34.10 and Totoca12 rounds out the top 20 in 34.17.
Now for the photo finishes and we had two mudkip and BoostButt and adversitas and Giampitek. Here are the photos:

Now as you can see at 31.23 mudkips front tyre is just ahead and practically touching the star.

Now this picture depicts after they finished. The timer only stops 3 times every 0.10 seconds, so it will stop at the closest one of those that the rider finishes to. As you can see mudkips front tyre is ahead and both their ghosts would’ve stopped recording at the same time in one of the 3 times every 0.10 seconds, mudkips ghost would’ve got there first, but because they were so close, mudkips time is the same as BoostButts even though they got there first.

0.04 seconds before their ghosts finished adversitas was slightly ahead.

After the ghosts finished adversitas’ tyre is further ahead and would’ve hit the star just before Giampitek. Hope you enjoyed my photo finishes and commentary bring on the group stages which I might preview.
