Featured Tracks - new feature discussion

Alright here's what the structure of featuring tracks should be.
Admins select a pool of knowledgable judges (from the looks of it WM, Eli, etc,), size of pool doesn't matter, but around 6 people would be good
Judge nominates a track, everyone else votes
if the track gets 75% vote for a feature, it gets featured. If people don't vote, they aren't counted and the pool for the track gets smaller. So if there are 7 total judges, one nominates, so the vote is out of six. If one of the six doesn't go on the site or just doesn't vote, the vote is out of five.
Once a track has been approved, they send it to an admin for approval.
If you really wanna rip off the American government, if an admin vetoes a feature, it'll be brought back to the judges and if it gets 100% approval it gets a feat no matter what.

That is an incredibly sluggish and tedious method. Just seems like it could take all day if not days.
I don't see why there just can't be a suggestion thread (in the main forum) that tallys up on(I'll edit, I'm on way more than anyone else), if it receives 5 votes then it goes forward to Mod discussion for reasons for and against and if it passes, it gets featured.

Then if it's obvious it should be featured, feature it.

 

Five votes out of what though? Five votes from general members? Featured track mods? You're proposing a vote and so am I, so I'm not seeing how mine way would take any longer. It just has some safety protocol. And you can establish a cut-off time for my vote, so people aren't stuck waiting for more mods to come on. If only 2 mods come on in a 24 hour period, then only 2 mods get a say.

 

5 general members. If I don't say anything specific, it's general members, especially if I just said previously the whole forum.

A Cut-off time seems good though being so that I'm on everyday. I'm always gonna get a piece in, right? xD Idk, a vote system as a member vote will be good, as long as the system is completely worked out and agreed on.

Then we'd have Suggestion->Vote->Mods-> Feature as well as Mods->Discussion->Feature

 

How about we have the general members vote on the mods and then cut them out of the rest of the voting? So you just have mod suggestion->mod voting->admin approval

Not to sound like a douche but we know see the types of tracks the larger community is interested in, and you can only get shot out of a gun so many times before it gets old.
