I finished all of my reviews, Eryp it's like halfway done with his. It was about 70 ghosts, so it takes some time. As soon as he finishes and we agree on the outcome, we should release it. Hopefully today or tomorrow.

 

UPDATE:

So here we go again. First of all, this update will not fully comprehend all of the things we want do say to you guys. There's 2 major subjects that we will talk about with you guys soon, but we just wanted to make an update on the many suggestions you guys sent. One of those subjects is regarding a new feature for the ghosts that we will announce when it's ready and the other one is about what to do with ghosters using TAS. We are aware of most things about this issue, where people are using tools like that for personal gain, and we will discuss this soon enough, when we finish deciding what to do in the matter. But be sure that we will handle this, and there will be better rules for this kind of thing in the near future.

Now, for the good stuff, let's talk about the ghosts. We had about 70 ghosts suggested, so here it is the new features and some feedback for some of the ghosts that didn't make it. If your ghost doesn't appear in this feedback, it was either too short, too simple (on an easy track) or not 1st place. Nothing discussing TAS ghosts today as well.

COMMENTARY ABOUT SOME NOT FEATURED GHOSTS:

First, let's start with some of the ghosts that we didn't feature. It doesn't mean that they were bad, that's one of the main reasons we are posting a feedback here, but they weren't quite there for us.

From NotVeryGood:
https://www.freeriderhd.com/t/4083-my-first-auto/r/notverygood - This is a good auto cut. But it was just falling for the most part. It's nice, but not that unique, in our opinion. If you get the first trick right, it doesn't seem that crazy to replicate. The second place of the track can prove this. Still nice and worth mentioning, though.

From BrendanMagill:
https://www.freeriderhd.com/t/722175-tvlt-prostate-cancer-version/r/brendanmagill - This is a really cool ghost. I know that most of the competition on this track was to see how many Z's you guys pressed during the ghost, but it still created some dope ghosts. Madara's ghost was cool, but the main race on the track was between BrendanMagill's and NotVeryGood's ghosts. 29.40 for BrendanMagill and 29.60 for NotVeryGood. Both ghosts have some featurable material, due to the consistency, but since NotVeryGood lead almost the entire thing to only lose in the end, I think it still has some room to improve. It's almost there, but I challenge BrendanMagill, NotVeryGood, Madara and whoelse wants to try it to improve or make new ghosts on this track. It's a really nice competition to see, a race in a tube, haha.

From Kainereid:
https://www.freeriderhd.com/t/724892-a-good-hold-up/r/kainereid - This is a good auto cut. A really lucky ghost, way faster than the rest of the ghosts (including 2 other auto cuts), but it could have been better. It was a maybe for me and a maybe for Eryp, but we then decided to not feature due to the excessive use of slow motion. Of course it wasn't intentional, but for an auto cut 16 seconds long, you can't be 11 seconds on slow motion. Still a really dope route chosen, maybe someone can optimize the route and get this feature.

From Sidewalk:
https://www.freeriderhd.com/t/433534-escape-the-factory/r/sidewalk - Someone suggested a ghost on this track but the player wasn't first. We checked the 1st place and it was an old Sidewalk ghost. We think it's very good, the leaderboard is awesome, but since the ghost looks kinda old, we think it can be improved, so we would like to challenge players to beat this time and maybe get a feature. That's a lot of potential on the track.

From Alex-P/Collector:
https://www.freeriderhd.com/t/717835-sld-space-buster-dirt-jump/r/alex-p - This is nice. Beginning was good, the middle was ok, but the ending was better. Still had some missed opportunities for brake flips and stuff like that. I know that this isn't the best track for a trickghost, so I think you did a decent job at it. Almost, but not quite there yet.
https://www.freeriderhd.com/t/435363-im-leaving/r/collector - Here we go again. Honestly, what is the thing about this track? I can't comprehend, but I'm guilty of this as well, haha. I have suggested 3 different ghosts on this track, with 1 being a feature, mR..A have suggested 2, with 2 features, and there were some new recent suggestions on this track as well, that almost made it. I don't know why everyone tries to get a featured ghost on this track, but since there's 3 already, why not, right? But let's talk about the ghost. mR..A's ghosts are way different to the other suggestions we received in this track, so this ghost could be compared with my ghost as LordCarl71. You did good, Collector, but you missed some oportunities again. It's like a mainly backflip based ghost just like mine, but you missed the chance to do more tricks, especially wheelies. You pretty much did the same thing through the whole track: ride a little bit --> press Z --> backflip, and it went like this for a while. But the thing that you didn't do, was make a better use of the in-between moments. You could do the "ride a little bit" part doing wheelies or endos, and could have tried to do more sequencial brake flips. Overall, it's a decent ghost, but not enough for a feature. Keep improving, though.

From Chaos-Fallen:
https://www.freeriderhd.com/t/533484-more-offroad/r/chaos-fallen - Although it's a good ghost with a great leaderboard, you shouln't be behind someone for 17 seconds in a 28 seconds track, if you want it to be featured. If someone can make a combination of the first 17 seconds of RedOrBlue's ghost and the 11 last seconds of Chaos-Fallen's, that ghost will probably be a feature. Let's try to beat it though, guys.

From Slayed:
https://www.freeriderhd.com/t/720950-ntbf-trial-offroad/r/slayed - To be 100% honest, it was a feature for both Eryp and I. Yeah, the track isn't long and there's a death on it, but it was a really quick one, and didn't ruin the flow for us. We have some featured ghosts with deaths in it, and yeah, most of them are longer, but some of them not by far. But since we have respected decisions from the ghost owners before, as it happened with Whisk once, we saw your comment saying that it shouldn't be a feature because of the death and we respect it. But maybe, other than the death and maybe some tiny bits in the beginning where RedOrBlue was better, I can not see pretty much any spots that could be much improved on. The tube parts are insane, and we are open to discuss this ghost again in the future, if wanted.

PS: If you improve the ghost, without the death, it's a 100% feature.

From isekeb:
https://www.freeriderhd.com/t/723930-the-tiny-cave/r/isekeb - It was a nice try. First 10 seconds were decent, but after that we get only like a couple of tricks, so it could have been so much better. Keep improving, though.

From Madara:

Control was great as expected, but it lacked a bit of variation in the tricks for us. The flips were dope and were indeed very well executed, but the wheelies weren't as clean or frequent in the ghost. You don't always have to do wheelies, but you have to make some nice combinations with your tricks. The only ones that stood out for us on this one were the flips, and although they were really great, it might have been almost enough, but we didn't think that they are quite enough for a featured trickghost. Your best suggestion yet, keep it going.
https://www.freeriderhd.com/t/726946-wheelie-in-a-forest-unfin/r/madara - This isn't bad, but just as the previous one, it suffers from the lack of variation of tricks. But this isn't even the bigger problem with this one. The first 6 seconds were amazing, but after that it's pretty much just wheelies, and it's on a wheelie track, so that's not quite the challenge or the innovation. Still, we can see so much potential. You definitely has the skill, just try to work on a better way to combine the tricks, and you will probably going to have a featured trickghost soon. Just let it all out on a ghost, not worrying that much if you are going to make mistakes, look for nice and innovative combinations, and you will probably eventually find something nice.

From ethan-enhe:
https://www.freeriderhd.com/t/3639-sponsor-wheelie/r/ethan-enhe - This is a really nice "auto cut", since you just played normally through the whole track, but we think that there's a few spots to improve, like those small mistakes around 1.60 seconds and 4.40 seconds. Still a really good ghost.

From Calculus:
https://www.freeriderhd.com/t/727464-detailed/r/precalculus - Good enough competition, but you definitely lost significant time on that flip, but it is a good race against the other players, especially BrendanMagill. Ghost looks improvable already and looks possible to even grab the helicopter and go even faster. Nice ghost, but not a feature. Let's try to improve, though.

From Eryp:
https://www.freeriderhd.com/t/203595-clover/r/eryp - I thought this ghost was nice enough to deserve a shoutout, since BrendanMagill's ghost on this was suggested before. I think Eryp did great, but that ending ruined any chances. Still a nice ghost, and it would be nice to see others try the track and maybe make the leaderboard even better. It's a great track that deserve some nice ghosts.

From mR..A:
https://www.freeriderhd.com/t/284878-descend/r/mr..a - An insane battle between mR..A, RedOrBlue, Calculus and mudkip. This is an awesome ghost that we considered, but decided that although it's amazing, we didn't think it was enough for an exception, at least for now.

UNFEATURED GHOSTS:

frhd.co/t/516985/r/precalculus - vegetables beat Calculus here, but his ghost broke, so it can't be featured now. I know that this might relate to TAS issues, but for now, it's unfeatured.

frhd.co/t/530004/r/madara - After being in review for a while and many discussions, we decided to unfeature this ghost from Madara. It's an amazing ghost, and although he beat Zycerak's featured ghost, the death in the end showed that there's room to improve. Both of you should try the track again, it's really close to a feature, but we feel like a fast and deathless ghost is achievable on this track, so we will wait to see what you (or other players) can do on this in the future.

Auto Cuts:

Apocolypse
frhd.co/t/725337/r/apocolypse - We were relutant to feature this ghost, but it's really impressive. It's probably has a combination of skill and luck, but it's definitely what the auto cuts kinda are, to be honest. Our concerns were the ghost being like 3 seconds long and the feature being in his own track, but we did decide that it was a feature worthy auto cut since it's fast and looks hard to replicate, despite those things. Congrats on your first feature Apocolypse!

NotVeryGood
frhd.co/t/1051/r/notverygood - Complex auto cut. It looks like he's the first and only one to complete it in 7 years. It's a feature for us. 2nd feature for NotVeryGood.

RedOrBlue

PS: Hahaha, just go for it. But to be honest sometimes that's how you instigate people to try to replicate. If it's easy to replicate, then do it, haha. 10 hours of the ghost being featured, let's see how many more it will take.
