Ok, although I don't agree 100% with you about all the tracks not being good for ghosting, I understand your frustration. In fact, I talked a little bit with the team in our group chat about how I could view the last 2 tracks not being exactly good for the contest. But I didn't complain much about it because people are taking time of their lives to make those tracks and I really couldn't help much in the past week. Now, I'm back, so I'll try my best to help make the tracks better in terms of ghosting.

About the vehicles, it's always a problem, haha. It was a problem in the World Cup 2, because it was something very new, and people weren't used to it. Although I won that round, I remember some of Backtwice's complaints and kinda agreed with those. But after years of those vehicles on the game, I didn't think that the complaints would be as big as they were and still are on those last 2 contests.

But in the last 2 contests there's always people who like the tracks with the vehicles and some that don't. Personally, I don't like them very much, but I agree that we should have at least 1 or 2 tracks with them, since they are part of the game. But as mentioned here before, we are planning to focus only in "bike tracks" from now on. It's either me or Eryp that will be in charge of the next track (we are working on 2 different tracks for the contest), so I'll try to make sure that they are good for ghosting. Maybe see what went well in the last contests, to make sure we have something good.

Our main focus isn't to please everyone in terms of what we are going to have on the tracks, because we want to be diverse. We still want to do a BMX trial, maybe a track with some climbs, but of course, we are open to suggestions.

spruce, you are a great trackmaker and ghoster, so feel free to give us some suggestions, although we are, in fact, working to make better tracks for you guys.

We are discussing how we should proceed with the deadline. There was some last minute changes and close calls. But we will decide about it until tomorrow. In the meantime you guys should try to get better times, but we are evaluating some stuff in order to make sure to make it fair for all players. We had the whole calendar published for a while, so I don't know if it's fair to get a last minute change. Will get back to you guys soon.

 

hey guys, update on the current situation:
we decided to retroactively end the round at midnight EST last night (so about 19 hours ago). while we did allow ourselves a buffer day in between the group stage and round of 16, we decided to not use this extra time to extend the round. this is because the original reason to extend the round was not consistent with the way we've run the rest of the competition. previously, if a rider made a ghost minutes after the deadline we didn't count that ghost. we didn't extend the qualifier date for redorblue, and we didn't allow ei8ht to participate originally because he didn't sign up in time (though he was allowed to participate later through someone else dropping out). so out of fairness to these people, we've decided to not count sannin's ghost that arrived 2 minutes after the deadline. this may seem cruel because it eliminates sannin from winning the competition, but it has to be done out of fairness. if we extended the deadline demimon would've likely been mad and would've likely felt slighted by us for doing nothing wrong.
it's an unfortunate decision that we've had to reach. so with that said, all times as of 12 AM EST yesterday were final. I know this also kinda affects the shamatoz/WM matchup because they've both improved their times since then, tho the winner hasn't changed.
so with that said the group stage is finished and the round of 16 will start tomorrow at 7 PM EST on a track that i will upload
