if you notice, the post you quoted there has nothing to do with any of these. all i did was say that you copied the post (a factual statement that was already pointed out), with no value judgement attached, frankly because i didn't want to get into another stupid posting marathon, but here we are. i seriously believe you have no idea what you are talking about at this point if you think that the fallacy fallacy applies to any of this.

 

You didn't need to make the "posting verbatim" comment for my point to be valid. You still believed that my claim was wrong even before you made it.
However, if I am wrong in all this, it was not made clear by you that you were talking about separate issues. If this is the case, then we are wasting each other's time.

 

it actually was made clear by the fact that i was responding to something completely different, which frankly anyone should be able to notice.

as for your first point, your point isn't valid at all. you said i committed the fallacy fallacy, which is a defined thing with specific characteristics: 1. points out that the other person's argument is flawed 2. claims that the other person's argument is wrong because of these flaws. so yes, i did point out that your argument was copy-pasted (this fulfills criterion 1), and yes, i do believe you are wrong, but i neither said nor believe that you are wrong BECAUSE your argument was copy-pasted (so criterion 2 is not fulfilled, making the fallacy fallacy inapplicable here). hope this clears things up!

Wall ensures all immigrants enter through legal passageways, then border security can easily be strengthened because the threat is isolated.

 

No... you think they'll just simply dig a hole with boarder security and cameras?

 

The wall doesn't have to be 100% secure, it just has to decrease the number of illegal immigrants significantly to be worth it.

If you think about it (and just look up the cold, hard facts...), each illegal immigrant costs the U.S. around $80,000 each year! Why would we allow so many to come in? They are not Americans, and therefore do not deserve our rights or our freedoms. Just stepping on American soil should not change that.

A wall is a basic solution to this problem. Walls keep unwanted people out (duh).

Anyone who wants to debate me, feel free, I will respond in a calm and fair manner. Just looking for some people from the left side to debate and maybe change my mind or change their mind.

However, that statement is from the constitution and applies only to the people in the region in which the constitution is law. People from other countries do not get our freedoms or opportunities simply because our governing document says "All men are created equal" because that is OUR governing document and not theirs.

Don't get me wrong, ALL MEN ARE CREATED EQUAL. I'm not saying that Mexican people are inherently bad (because they are not), it's just when they illegally cross the border and declare they deserve all the rights Americans pay for and protect that I draw the line. (Still, I don't think that necessarily makes them bad people, it just needs to be stopped.)
