i think i wrote up a tutorial for mr..A a while back either in this thread or the Detailing Thread, so go find that if u want idk The basics of good leaves is drawing a good outline, whether u choose to draw each individual leaf or not. My biggest pet peeve about leaves which bugs me in a lot of tracks is the failure to recognize the structure of a tree. Its super basic stuff that i feel gets undervalued heavily. Things like: Trees grow upwards towards the sun The base of a tree trunk gets thinner as it extends upwards; same for branches; and each sub branch Leaves grow at the tip of branches, NOT on the sides With that in mind i find it easiest to draw a leafless tree first, and then add leaves where your outline allows. When u draw leaves, draw way more than u think is necessary, u should have more space dedicated to leaves than bark ur leaves are in the right place, but u wanna add much much more leaves and clean up the lines. They are a bit messy Theres no sense of the individual leaves and the outline doesnt look natural. Id suggest drawing smaller sections of leaves at a time rather than drawing an outline and line spamming to fill the space generally very clean, however sub brach is somehow thicker than the branch it stems from. The shading/ bark indents seem a bit random also. with a tree as small as this one, its best to make the bark streamlined rather than rough and jagged e; lmk if this is helpful
Ishu Thanks for the tips, I was connecting all of the lines and readjusting them so they looked cleaner. Is that what you mean by cleaning up the lines?
i clearly need help with the leaves xD otherwise i'll keep drawing dead trees. actually lets just say they are deciduous : )
chill out this is absolutely pointless argument. its not only me who tells people this, go back to the first few pages. you'll see how much other people say the same stuff that I did.
Stop acting like a fool kid. Say what you wanna say once not repeatedly in different comments. And it does matter that you and some other fool are arguing on this thread because you are SPAMMING ALL OF OUR ALERTS! Nearly everyone have commented on this thread, so whatever you post we ALL get an alert. So fudge off and don't spam please. Thanks.
looking great, i don't see anything wrong with the tree. I love the leaves on it. make the brush tool size smaller for leaves- and make a lot of leaves. Remember, leaves are no just at the tips of the branches.
add more leaves on the front face of the tree, otherwise i think ur good in the future u should experiment with larger trees; they give u more space to play around with and be more precise about
