Question Whats the best way to figure out if someone should be OA?

The list of authoritative positions goes New member, member, active member, official author, well known member, mod, dev.

 

i like phases idea, i would live to give out oa's. I would try to be as non-biased as possible and not give it to undeserving people.

I say they should atleast have 100 subs an more than 450 likes, and should have gotten atleast a track that has gotten 8k plays or more

I suggest for who gets Oa are the people who do take their time on making tracks and such and elite author is also a good idea

Maybe have each official author vote for an official author administrator. An Official Author Committee consists of the top (odd number) of people with the most votes. A player who wants official author status must submit a track or tracks to the committee for review, and the committee votes on whether or not the player deserves to be an official author. This committee, as opposed to a committee consisting of all official authors, would hopefully have only players who really deserve official author status and know what good tracks are.
Things I'm not sure about: How many votes would each official author get in choosing the committee? How many people should be in the committee? Can players lose official author status?

These are just my thoughts on the matter.

Although the borderline between non-deserving OA vs regular peeps is a bit vague, I think the most important part is that OA is here long enough to have the ability to judge what is good or not.

OA right now is more like a verification badge that you are a member of this community instead of a symbol denoting your track making skill

ps. i can make a detailed track but didnt yet, still honing my artistic skills

 

At this point, everybody in FRHD deserves OA to the standard it has been brought down to.
