The spacebar technique

it doesnt sound like a bad idea if you disable ghosts while doing it

 

I picked up spacebarring naturally and didn't realize that it was a thing until I heard other people did it. I don't see it as cheating unless you are using a third-party program.

 

I find doing spacebar on free rider harder than doing it normal. Maybe it is just me but my preference is to do free rider normally.

 

Because u r not A PRO, jus a simple PLAYER....

Yeah, me too. Got it naturally from FR3 when I say that the pause menu doesn't coer the whole screen. Literally said "This is abuse"

Depends really, I can go from 30ms to 300ms but about 200ms on average

Now personally, I'd admit I spacebar a lot on about any track. Heck, I can even spacebar at 30ms intervals (but not for very long tho). But I mainly spacebar for:
- landing after a fall
- any trial/challenge
- lean back then forward to get a low jump (needs timing)
- climbs
- slowing down in tubes (using up and down)
- bomb hops and bounces and Z bomb hops (all are different)
- helicopter
- soft braking (using up and down, can be used for shorter air time in some circumstances)
Okay, yeah, maybe that's practically everything. Oh well then, I basically use it because thats what my reflexes does first

 

is their a way to slow the game down using a website?

 

Or...hear me out...play the game normally?

 

I think because once i played FRHD on a really bad slow computer and FRHD was really slow as well, 1 second in FRHD was like 5 seconds IRL
If someone was to make a program it would be banned straight away, the players would be banned as well prob

 

Open 10 tabs of Google, but I use Internet Explorer so the FRHD tab itself is fast enough : ))))))))))))))

I just opened 100+ tabs of frhd and it doesn't slow it down at all

 

this is literally a thread discussing the already-existing alternative to that, one that, although a bit controversial, is less dishonorable than going out of your way to give yourself an advantage just to get higher leaderboard spots.
it shouldnt take that much research to find either; a quick google search should land you a trip to a further tarnished standing in the community.

that's more understandable, but regardless, it's still against common, community-wide etiquette, for lack of a better term.

really, if you learn to trick ghost with just the spacebar youll get more recognition and [possibly] respect than using a third party program.

 

I wonder who the first person ever to use the spacebar technique was...
