Update for this:
Although Ataraxy didnt release a week later, it's currently 271k and about 50 seconds long. Im expecting it to be around 350k once done. Hoping for a release in the next few days. Stay tuned

So i was wondering... why tf are all detailed tracks and autos named a certain way? Like "a long complicated word that sounds kinda dumb when u think about it but for some reason is a little meta?".

I'm guilty of this too, but i think its a little weird. For example,
Idyllic -bt
Ataraxy -volund
calamity -maple
subharmonic -alex
caerlavarock -sycamore
etc.

idk if anyone else noticed

e; btw this is relevant to wips because idk what to name my current track

 

My track is called Ataraxy because (In my opinion) it describes the Air Nomads, which is what the track is based around. And it sounds a lot better than "Calmness" or something similar. That's why my title is what it is, lol

 

ya but there are a lot of less-suitable names that people use

 

bt and noob do this sometimes too, they named our old collab felicity

i usually name or base mine after places (most of which i haven't been)

ie;
vermilion cliffs (region in arizona / utah)
kykotsmovi mesa (navajo town in arizona)
norilsk (city in siberia)
mangystau (region of kazakhstan)
valdez (town in alaska)
ьеповодск, the town depicted in crumble (town in kyrgyzstan, imagery from pripyat and crimea)
москва (moscow in cyrillic)
ebolaids ii (my crib)
carlisle (city in pa)
pr hwy 163 (puerto rico highway 163)

just realized i've never drawn my own city, perhaps i should change that

 

i name my tracks seemingly randomly but there is reason behind every name

Even in my track dumps you can find meaning but thats not for me to explain its for you to discover

 

Lol I'm guilty of this too. Guess what "Oarna" means: It means "The islands" in Swedish LOL
"Edinburgh" doesnt look like what I made it out to be aswell. Its the cap of Scotland.
Also "Rakkoli" is some werid name I configured deep in the depths of my delusional mind
"Narek" is a russian name i think
"Antares" is a star and sounds cool
"Enoch" was one of the villains in Ben 10, and sounds cool
last one: "Sheol" is the jewish name for "Hell"

 

making another tree in my wip, its pretty weird but i like it. i guess you could call the texture "fingerprint"
