Straight up traced from my old track Low Point, try again.

 

I wanna do something new with my detail, since I've been doing the kinda wave-like rock detail for a while. This is pretty similar but it's still something new to me. What do you guys think? (too lazy to crop lol)

 

Looks good and simple. Could definitely make above average detail on a track quickly.

 

I like how you never overdo it, your work is always so minimalistic and never overdone. Anyways I actually really like that, maybe you could try to add a little bit of texture to the alternating surfaces?

yeah, sorry 'bout that. how do you get your inspiration for that though? i keep getting stuck with my ground detail, while yours always seems soooo flawless.

 

Yeah, don't do that. Not cool. It's really just practice, something you'll come to realize once you start making things on your own. Copying doesn't teach you that.

 

My 2c: Ground detail is so overdone, that its impossible to not have one similiar to someone elses. With that being said looking at someone elses for inspiration isnt necessarially a bad thing, unless you blatantly do something that copies them. If I was you I wouldnt even focus on doing ground detail. I would focus on making a fun track first, and detail it in whatever way fits it.
