Is FRHD dying?

There are still good tracks, and still many thousands of players play everyday so, no.

I think that the popular authors we know are quitting. As many of you know, LucJohnson recently uploaded their last track.

Many other authors are leaving too.

In a few weeks/months there will be a new generation of players. Its like a cycle.

I agree with this. Many riders/authors are saying they will be back in "n" number of weeks/months. I personally don't believe it. I think the cycle part is true as well. Remember when Bike Race was popular? This game, once it hits app and play store out of beta, will most likely burtst through the roof. Giving people the opportunity to explore FRHD.

content wise frhd has been lacking since after the official contest last year, with a lot of decent track makers losing interest all at once. what makes it worse is that there isn't many (if any, if i am honest) who can take their place

development wise frhd has always been slow, hopefully a new dev will help alleviate that

regular contests/shop items/more ways to spend coins/a new author tier/more incentive to push out good tracks will get the game moving forward again, maybe even more stuff for ghosting as well. what originally got me involved in the community and in track making (and improving etc) was the campaigns and OA, once i did that i set my sights on getting a feature and the official contest. the community needs that sort of stuff for more talent to come around, as better quality tracks give players a bar to reach, so to reach the bar they spend time playing and grinding, which is what char etc want

will we see more activity/updates on progress on the forum/etc in the future as well then?

tl;dr without more incentive to play and grind this game gets boring
