am i too late? <brush waterfall quickie edit: also when it comes to water use scenery, dark lines make it feel trapped and solid
Nice! Don't use too many lines regarding the outline of the waterfall and use more ripples to show how the water is being pushed away from the impact of the waterfall
Sweet. Ya, I thought the outline of the waterfall looked a little too bold. I will see what I can do. And ya, I will add more ripples Thanks for the feedback!
WheelieMaker , search on google for tree drawings and sketches like these: http://www.drawingcoach.com/image-files/cartoon_trees_st4.gif http://pad3.whstatic.com/images/thumb/7/7b/Grass-Step-6.jpg/525px-Grass-Step-6.jpg and try to draw them in the editor. After doing this with a couple of trees you should have a feel for them and be able to draw them yourself. That's how I got to draw trees at least. JacobCahoon, it seems to me that you're doing a 3d style detail while making a 2d track. That won't work. You have to make a 3d track to do that type of detail. For example I can't do this detail: http://www.freeriderhd.com/t/11092-volcan-level on this track: http://www.freeriderhd.com/t/51802-clean-up because it's a 2d track, if you understand me.
I'm a little confused on how on what you are saying. I can see that Volcan Level is a 3d track and the other is 2d. How does one go about making a 3d track?
Well I can say that 3d tracks take 10 times as long as 2d tracks. For 3d tracks you just draw a 3d landscape and make it rideable. You put the focus on the landscape instead of the ride. I did the same in silent night. You just have to create depth by making objects in the back smaller and in the front bigger and by adding shadow and by drawing objects and hills that have 3 dimensions to them. If you don't know how to do that then I don't know how to help you, I know that stuff from drawing in real life.
I really don't know... I think you have to make it 3d or pick a different detail style, but maybe someone else can suggest something else.
It's not really my style with all the brush lines but it looks good I think, I can't really judge it untill you draw a bit more of it
