FRHD iOS & Android App Beta Feedback

So I got the update and played it awhile and heres my feedback:
So I like the stats page,the 100 unlockables there are, and the slot machine has improved a lot
There is lag a bit, but its ok and to be expected.
Somethings i suggest u add: the ability to change ur bike(biggie) a home screen (not so important) and the ability to draw tracks (probably not gonna happen, but its big to me since i will turn my laptop in over the summer)
E: Just played Wood I and Wood II by KillerMeemStar in a row. Random? I think not!

 

when we just screw around on tracks and get like over 1000

 

I spent 800 coins and all i won was coins and one hat

wow, finally found this thread.
Char Eric and all the other developers, id like to say, wow, this is actually really coming along.

So i tried it a bit, I'm at level 30 right now. Ive had fun, its smooth and pretty neat, and here are my thoughts:

Spoiler: Pros

- can play tracks smoothly
- cool intro art
- hasn't crashed yet
- ads work smoothly
- background image looks neat
- slot machine is good
- i like the hat bonuses idea
- stats menu is great and organized
- in general, this is great so far

Spoiler: cons/bugs

cons/bugs:
- can't earn coins without the free coins button
- level up doesn't get you anything (don't know if you are changing this or not)
- what does the death count do for you?
- opening thumbnail looks weird as hell
- runs through battery incredibly fast
- can't log into account yet
- whenever you play a track made by someone that changed their name, their old name is shown. this only happens for tracks they created before the change

Spoiler: suggestions

suggestions:

- on the home screen, make the background change to different tracks/ generated backgrounds, to make it cooler and more interesting
- level up bonus
- get rid of death count
- add search capabilities
- be able to add friends
- view ghosts
- add power saver button

anyway great beta can't wait for the release!

had some problems with emails so i haven't tested it yet but as i saw the game looks incredibly smooth and doesnt freeze, great job Char Eric. i would just say that the design is too much childish for me. i mean free rider on laptop looks like a fun game but not only for childs, everybody can play it. now on mobile when you click on something, it pop and makes boing boing (i dont know how to say this in english), the colour is blue flashy, the slot machine looks like a candy crush thing, and there's level of difficulties. now it's more directed towards the kids. i totally understand that, most of the people who play games like this are between 8 and 12 but we, the older generation, we dont feel concerned. no offence, you guys did your job, but i dont know, i dont feel really satisfied with it. i would like to keep the design of the website in the app, wich is super smooth.

 

I'm getting a lot of really lame tracks, ones with hardly any detail or substance. I know of course there are plenty of these to be found on the site and regularly I enjoy them for their racing challenges, but on mobile, with a lot of new players seeing this for the first time, maybe a curated extensive list of tracks with substantial attractiveness towards new players. I know this might sound dishonest about the average quality of track released on the site, but I'll let a comment on my recent track speak for itself: "i have only joined frhd and i thought it was going to be a boring game but you and your tracks changed everything it is the best game ever." It is my belief if we can use the better tracks accumulated on this site and show them off first, this app will attract more new players.

That's just a thought though.

 

Maybe gave a playlist they go through for the first few days and then put it to random tracks?

 

i couldnt write 'sub to volund' on the ios app store so im disappointed

either way i downloaded it and it wouldnt open, a bit bummed that it's not compatible with older updates but it makes sense. ill just wait for the android release
