Could someone please teach me how to draw trees so I can beat them in the contest?

 

make the ground


then the trunk


then add branches


then add twigs


then add leaves


then add bark


Copy that tree and you will win the remix no doubt.

So I started drawing a tree and it is actually going pretty well! I'll post it in the WIP page when I'm done because if it keeps going how it is right now, I'm gonna be really proud

 

How do you draw good buildings

 

What sort of building?

 

The one most used. Like in Lets Explore

 

I'll work on a tutorial soon

 

it's really simple, you can figure it out pretty easily using the grid

 

If you do grid buildings like that you are dead to me

Draw a box without using grid but make sure the lines are mostly straight

Then draw a roof, it can be flat or pointy.

now draw some windows and doors

and finally shade. I can't shade so... someone else will have to show you that.

 

I wasn't happy with my cave detail so I spent a few hours experimenting and now I have something I'm even less happy with.


(They're both unfinished, obviously)

I think it looks scribbly and messy, but I might be too critical of my own work, so please tell me what thoughts you have about it.
I don't think there will be time for me to change any of it, but I'd still like some input.

 

I'd say do more simple stalagmites and stalactites because they look better I think the simpler style (less dots and lines) looks better. Just my opinion.

 

What can I do to make the branches(leaves) look better? The leaves feel kind of random. Where should i move or put them to make it look more realistic?

 

In my opinion the leaves look good. Leaves are sorta random
