The Making Of Official Authors'...

Is anybody else getting tired of people not doing anything at all to become an Official Author. Here lately for some reason people have been making newer players at the game an official author and they have not even made one track. They should have to earn their way to being an Official Author. Just like everybody else. I had made about 30 Tracks before I had even asked to be an Official Author. And I asked for it to be based on if my tracks were good or not. If they really want to be part of the game and be part of FreeRiderHD Nation then they need to work for it. They have to want it. So. What I am proposing is that anybody that is wanting to be an Official Author sign up for a elimination contest. 16 Track Makers that are not an Official Author yet will be put in this Tournament. Every round the person with the better track will go on to the next Elimination Round. Until there are 1 or 2 track makers left. Those 2 track makers will go up against each other and they will prove how bad they want to be an Official Author. IT IS TIME FOR A CHANGE I SAY

Sounds like a lot of work for a couple of people to get official.
A better plan would be to have a tier status on official author. The official author status perks would stay the same but have a few changes.

• Tier 1 Official Author:
  • Track cap size 2,500k (prevent large spam tracks on the database).
  • All other perks remain.
• Tier 2 Official Author:
  • All previous perks
  • 5,000k track size cap.
  • Can edit track description.
  • Edit track name.
  • Arrange profile.
  • Custom thumbnail.
• Tier 3 Official Author:
  • All previous perks.
  • No track cap.
  • Quality viral tracks = reward.
  • Super cool badge to show you are a top-notch track author.

The further you go up the tier status, the more difficult it should be. This would give people the incentive to make a good track, because we all know people like having a title status on this game.
Obviously the perks could be rearranged, but I believe they seem to be pretty fair as of now.
I also had the idea of weighted votes, but that could be a controversial idea.
I believe this could fix multiple complaints people have with how the game runs. This is just my food for thought

You are right mostly. If there are tiers for Official Authors there will be conflict between players because if your a one it will be years before you can go up especially if you are limited to a track size.

 

Not necessarily, the fact that there are over 260,000 tracks and that less than 15 would be above the first tier cap, their would be fairly low chances of issues in the future.
Edit: Besides, the limit for non-officials is 1000k

just because I'm Not a well known member on here does not mean i am a noob at the game. I have been playing everyday for the past 2 years. I am pretty darn good at this game. Maybe not the best. Maybe not the second best. Or even third and when I take an attempt I might fail. But I will always take as many attempts at it as possible until I can't move my fingers because I am just that motivated. I might not be known very well. I might not be the best track maker. But there is no doubt in my mind that I will get better, that I will create better, that I will be the best in the world. Just Wait....

 

but people wanting to go up wont be able to if they are not well known. maybe two tiers instead of three will be best. but your mostly right.

that would honestly just screw some people like me who's isn't good enough to be in 3 tier and that still makes 200k isk tracks and it'd ruin chances for new people to show up like Rey827 and StevenLeary if we had those caps then these people would have to obtain 3rd tier before publishing their great track, so because it'd restrict new members then this probably won't happen. . .i like your idea wyatt but no track cap imo

 

Not the code limit. the tournament for people wanting to be official authors. 8 or 16 people are picked and 1 or 2 of them get made an official author by winning the tournament.

idk why u want my option but, honestly i think that its useless to complain i mean i wish you did have to really earn official author but now its more like "got 50 it subs?" "yes." then your official and what not, took me a little more over a year to get official and i honestly think that char has either grown careless or way to annoyed with everyone asking to even care anymore. i don't think ill go anymore in depth because then ill venture into insulting people who really shouldn't be a OA at all but thats all.

Yea. It took me at least a year to even ask to be an official author. And yea. I think he has grown careless. He just doesn't let people help him with the game to even care about it anymore.
