Nope. Began ghosting before spacebarring was a known tactic, and those who had exploited it did so in secrecy. Once it became a topic of interest, I never tried adapting it to how I played the game, because I felt more proud with every record I set without any handicaps. I don't really look down upon those who do, because the skill level needs to increase somehow. I also remember back in the day, some people purposely made their computers run slower through installing malware or use an older computer, it was pretty funny.
I don't spacebar and I still do pretty good for not and I'm happy with my ghosts. Also who tf would install malware for a online bike game?
Haha you would be surprised. People who had two computers utilized that for the most part, because it's just impractical to do that if you only have access to one computer. One of my buddies, Evolv from Canvas Rider, had a laptop that ran fine but he made his ghosts on this absolute dinosaur of a computer that his mom used. It had to be from at least the 90s, that thing ran Canvas Rider at 2fps, so it was super easy to make ghosts with little to no error.
I don't spacebar because my computer doesn't register the pause when I'm pressing more than one other button. When I use only one button, there's no need to spacebar. I wish I could try spacebarring on a better keyboard sometime; I might get better ghosts.
haha I had this problem on an old sonyvaio, it made some trials impossible due to many obstacles needing more than two buttons.
