Subscription Bar

Alright, a simple idea. In an attempt to make this site more like the internet's most successful art-sharing website, youtube, I'd like to suggest a bar, like the bar given to campaigns, trending, hot, featured, and newest tracks, to a user's subscriptions. So that you have a feed consisting only of tracks from authors you like.
I'd suggest this bar become the first bar to appear, followed by trending, featured, and get rid of the campaign bar.
Now I know players already get notifications for subscribed authors posting a track, but among so many other notifications and out of the way, I feel like the current system is flawed, and does not bring immediate attention to a new track by a favored author. What I suggest would bring them front and center, making subscriptions more prominent to players.

Thoughts?

 

I think this is a pretty good idea.

They'll probably say they will do it and not start until 2 years from now though. . .

 

idk, when I first joined I made a post about how we needed featured tracks and then we had featured tracks pretty quickly

 

That was before the app was being made. Now the app is the only thing that progresses around here

Shouldn't be too hard to implement. I'll look at doing this pretty soon.

It will pull the latest track from each subscription.

Perhaps instead of the most recent track from each author, just a feed from all of the authors chronologically, so that if you are subscribed to a few active and a few less active authors, some tracks won't be stuck on the back end of the bar. Like for me, I still have Stig's Official contest banner on the bar, instead of all the tracks my other subs have put out. More like youtube's subscription's page is what i'm saying.

Like if you're subscribed to authors : (a,b,c)
[a_1d_ago][b_2d_ago][b_3d_ago][c_5d_ago] etc.

ps, this is how I imagined it, but for simplicity sake and dev time, i chose to do it the way it is.

Yeah, so you can see multiple tracks from one author if they are more prolific

Changed the algorithm.
Let me know if that's better. It will only show max 3 tracks per author as to not spam/fill up the bar.
