3. On behalf of the Canvas Rider community, f*** you. With your release of FR3 (which isn't any better than FR2), you ruined the lives of many people. There are countless users that dedicated months and even years to the game! There are a few tracks on the database that took months to make, people put an incredible amount of effort into their tracks. With this release and the shutting down of the Canvas Rider editor, you ruined the effort these people put into the game. I'm posting this to ensure you know what you've done and for you to feel the full impact of what you've done. I can clearly see you did this for players and money. I can ensure you that maybe .01% of the CR population will merge to here, because the transition from CR to here is like becoming homeless. This game is almost complete s***, I preferred FR1 more to this. You may have earned the power, but you have not (and never will) earn the RESPECT. You cannot earn respect by shutting down a rival site, that's incredibly bad sportsmanship. I don't know what else to say, I hope you've learned a little bit from this long message.

I thought this was resolved a while ago...?

 

I have been researching about canvas rider and freerider and I stumbled upon this. Does anyone know what this is. I have found a lot more information and I will continuously post about the history of freerider and canvasrider.

2. Canvasrider had more traffic than all of the games in onemorelevel.com TOGETHER (check it out yourself at alexa.com).
3. That means, that without canvasrider this game would never been so popular. am I right? ok. im happy you understood this part.

5. Now think about this: would kanogames invest money in creating fr3 if the game wasnt popular? obviously not! why would they invest in something which is not popular? they would lose money! therefore, without canvasrider, fr3 would never exist.
6. So instead of being grateful that canvasrider made their game popular, they shut it down to try and get money from the success of canvasrider.

Furthermore, the one who thought about creating a database, creating a ghosting system and writing the game in html5 wasnt kanogames. it was maxime. they copied his ideas into their game while closing his game, without giving him any credit or recognition. remember, whan maxime created canvasrider, he gave credits to onemorelevel and pete at the front page.

10. By shutting down canvasrider, kanogames ruined a whole community to make more money. They shutted down our beloved game and forced us to play their game. what can we do?
11. Fight against them! if all of us will fight together, we will force them to bring canvasrider up again! Think about it, what gives a company power? its users! if all of us will fight together and wont give up, kanogames will HAVE to leave canvasrider alone!

frhd will never be what canvasrider was. canvasrider was a place where you could express your artistic abilities. much like trackmill, 90% of members here only seek to get on trending and hot. its the sad truth but we can't do anything about it, so just deal with it i guess.

Shutting down CR before making FRHD was a HUUUUGE mistake. like... wtf u thinkin mang????

now some FR3 tracks have more plays than they do on here, just sayin. And people still play FR3 oblivious to FRHD. It's kinda ****** up IMHO. Not to mention the tons of people who just quit the game because a CLEARLY INFERIOR VERSION replaced the awesome Canvas Rider. Players didn't think twice before finding another 2d game to play at school without looking back.

They should at least merge them or something... shut down FR3 too.

yeah, the beef is gone but i'm still a little salty and i'm sure others are too. It was pretty messed up honestly, but we really don't have any other option than to get over it :/

Damn, Kano Games really messed up this time. I know I have barely played CR before Kano Games made it into complete sh!!t, but I respek everyone that has played CR for the sheer fun and artistic game it was. Some one should make a site as close as CR as possible and never sell out or be taken over. R.I.P. CR.

 

Why does everyone automatically give up hope and assume that this place is and always will be the biggest flaming pile of crap? What's trending today isn't the best, but you still can express your artistic abilities, and it can still become popular. So, instead of whining about how great CR was why don't we try to fix up what's wrong with HD?
