Too much riders are getting official

I've now noticed that no matter what or how many tracks you make you can ask Char to get official.
So much noobs are doing the same thing recently and that bothers me. They make tracks that are getting popular for an unknown reason or tracks that they haven't worked much on.

People with a feature should be official

 

I thought this was a joke until i found that guy XD

 

Or they get elite / featured instead

 

Actually people who actually make good tracks should be official, not some poo like some "Official Authors" make.

 

Good tracks are featured tracks, that's why people with features will be official.

 

There are great tracks that are not Featured also

We are thinking about making it more of an earned / automatic system.
Almost like the youtube partership program, players will require a certain number of subscribers / plays etc (not sure on the metrics yet) to have official author.

 

I only have 287 subs

 

I have 800+ and i don't know why

 

Idea: donate subs

 

We would have to find the right number.

Do we remove official authors who don't have those ?

 

Still imo subs and likes don't determine how good an author actually is, there will be people with tracks just dedicated to like- and subwhoring

No, how about a group of predetermined authors vote on who should become official. Such as the featured team.

 

Why and who would do that....even though I guess it's probably the best idea but idk it seems odd
