Make the top canopy much taller and more irregular shaped. And just know that branches that thick don't just end, they keep going.
I would recommend connecting your lines and really cleaning it up, the shape of it is good but it is very sketchy
Yeah, that's what I'll eventually do, but I'm drawing like I do irl, sketchin first then finallizing. Thanks for the tip though
http://frhd.co/t/264965-wip check out my detailed track and give me some constructive criticism plz guys
It's fine tbh I have about 10 saved forms of that thing I save every time I make a change :-/ the track is good IMO.....I just can remember how to detail ;; but thanks for your concerns I like you pic a lot better rn
What does everyone think of these trees? I haven't finished with them yet, and they are going to be part of a big track I am working on with Solace.
First tree looks cool but the roots are ugly Second grouping of trees look very nooby and the lines behind them are very trippy Stick with the design for the first one and try not to focus too much on roots. Also bear in mind that it shouldn't look too lopsided and that all of the branches stem from the trunk in an upwards direction.
Okay, thanks. I haven't finished with the other trees yet, I will be detailing the trunks a bit more with the scenery lines. I haven't finalised what their main design is going to be as this is just a WIP but would you be able to tell me how to improve on them? Are you suggesting I take away the roots on the first one or change them?
I'd say get rid of them. Sometimes they can add to it if there's a cliff face but i think you should put them more on the surface of the ground rather than making them look like tubes. Other than that, sounds good! I see potential here. Share your final product here as well and the community could give you some more CC.
Thank you both! I am trying very hard to devolop my detailing skills and I am very grateful for the help. I will post some updated images soon or just some tests that I have done of other styles.
Go simplistic with it. It has a nice form and. I think just some vertical lines and perhaps some light shading on the bottom of the branches could look good. Focus more on blending the branches into the foliage and making sure it looks balanced and has enough foliage to cover the look of the thick branches, as they're generally thinner further out from the trunk.
Hmm ok....I guess I'll try.....I think I'll get rid of that bottom branch....I'll try my best but idk thanks tho
