Name change improvements!

I have an idea (no sht).
After a name change you can still see the old name like this:

This one needs to happen just because these name changes are getting confusing.

I wanna change my name to Noob but that name is already taken by someone who never even used their account. Seriously, you just ruined a great name, thanks. The user "NOOB" Has most likely not played for quite some time (probably years) and the only time he did was when he created that account. And even then he played for a whole 15 minutes (probably, it's not like I know). Wow. It would be brilliant if my name could be changed to "Noob" and the account "NOOB" would lose their name (they'd lose the name after I take it, not after the time limit, obviously).

Let's say the account "NOOB" has only 10 tracks played and hasn't logged in for 6 months (this is no exact limit. it should be decided by char if they lose their name or something like that). At this point, I think It's reasonable that their name can be taken by others. Maybe they'll miss that name but it isn't like they can just have it forever and not do anything, that's just unfair.

Preblems and solutions:

Problem: What if the original account tries to log in with their old name?
Solution: Everybody keeps their old login names. It's just their ingame name that changes. For example: I change my name to "ginger". I still log in with My previous name (F1N). The original account called ginger would still log in with his old name (ginger). When he logs in (after his name got deleted when I took it) he gets a popup that tells him to change his name as it has now been taken and it explains why.

I couldn't come up with more problems so please tell me. I'm sure there's a solution to it, too.

I feel like I'm missing something I was thinking about so I'm going to edit this message. I'll post to this thread when I do.

 

If the person who's name is taken logs back on, they should get the name back honestly. The name does belong to them because they got to it first. However, if they stop playing the game, they should lose the name if someone wants it until they come back. That being said, I doubt anyone would come back after a few months gone.

 

I disagree.
This would just cause confusion in many cases that will occur. Imagine getting 10 members' names changed and all of a sudden they all go back. It's be chaos! I mean people would think the original names are the active ones, get it?
I get that they god it first but if they really care about it that much they wouldn't have abandoned the account and ruined the name.

So our rule is one name change. I tell everyone (lately) that they only get one name change. Even that is now limited to names that represent their actual name and they want privacy from that.

I simply don't have time to change everyones name.

Login name also changes.

I have been known to change that players name to noob1 if they are clearly not coming back.

I wanna change it because someone made their name "F1nish" kinda pretending to be me and talking Finnish (terribly).

Anyway, the only reason I ever took this name is because Noob and Fin were taken. So I used 1337 and capital letters.
I'd like to change my name to Noob now that I know it's possible.

Btw is it possible to name my 2nd account's name to F1N just so nobody can impersonate me? If yes, its name is faggot123. What a legendary name, too bad it only lasted for a day. I was gonna trashpost many comments with it. :'-(
