Lucifer is an embodiment of what man should strive for. Knowledge of the universe, and wisdom. The Christian God represents pride, greed, and ignorance. When lucifer argued that all should have the knowledge of the universe, he was cast out of heaven by a prideful and immature "creator". Of course, neither lucifer nor jehovah truly exist, but conceptually I've found the Christian God to be much more evil in nature than lucifer/satan.

 

Satan is a fallen angel, having despised his creator. He hates Jehovahs's creation, and he goal is to lead as many away from their forgiving father to tread a way of self-will. In the end, neither Satan or those he has misled and have not repented will be accepted into the eternal Kingdom of God, instead will be thrown into eternal darkness with the weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Jehovah gave his only-begotten son to die for our sins on the cross. Jesus Christ is the living sacrifice, that we may be loosed from our offenses. How does giving up your own flesh and blood for millions represent pride, greed and ignorance?

But they dont believe that we have a never-dying immortal soul.......bad ppl dont just "die" as it were, they rather live in a land of suffering. It is dark because god is light and god is love, and the absence of god is darkness, but they dont die.

You ask how Jehovah could represent pride, greed, or ignorance immediately after claiming that neither Lucifer, or those who he has led will be accepted into the Kingdom of God, and suggesting that they would be subject to eternal darkness, weeping, and gnashing teeth. Only a prideful and power hungry entity would subject anyone to eternal torture. You've explained the dichotomy yourself.

It is my belief that spiritual power, and universal knowledge (both light and dark, good and evil, above and below) is the right of all those experiencing the universe. Philosophically speaking, Jehovah is a limiter of progression and Renaissance, and Lucifer is a promoter of those, so, philosophically, I side with Lucifer. I do not need to give the glory of my achievements to a creator that does not exist.

 

Tremulant, what you are having a hard time understanding, is that the pathway to eternal life is through repentance. If you trust in the Lord Jesus Christ as your savior, you can repent your sins and god will forgive. Jesus Christ died to save sinners, not the righteous. He will not hold your sins to you.

But who created the universe? Who set out the rules? Of course you are given choices for your life, but you cant expect not to pay for your decision. I know a young man who laid his hands on my girlfriend against her will. Would i like to kill him? Natrually, of course. Is he gods creation, would i go to jail/hell if i shot him? Yes. Just like on earth, you pay for your offenses. Now if we pattern ourselves after Jesus Christ, we WILL pass the pearly gates.

 

Fred, what you are having a hard time understanding is that my moral compass does not need to be pointed by a divine power. I will act as I see fit, and if I wrong someone, I will repent to them, and to myself, and continue forward. I've never had the desire to kill anyone, and I don't need fear of eternal punishment to tell me that it is wrong to kill someone. If you do, I worry for you.

That said, I will never tell someone what to believe and I hope that you are at peace with what you do believe.
