Omg dude bhr has made me the best detailer ever you should totally join it. It will make you ten times better look at my improvements

Ok but really if you want it get better you actually have to want to get better complaining wont get ya anywhere. Ask around and ask authors if they can see your track ask them for hints and stuff just don't keep annoying the same author.

Please note: I am not in bhr and in no way care I find it just another place for ghosters to brag about their skills in ghosting and bhr has better autos and tracks so over all stick with frhd

 

No offence, but this is probably the worst help u could give him. What I would do instead Orbital is look around the featured track page and have a look at how people detail rocks. Then, using the detail u already use, try and make a new rock and see how it looks
Imitating others isn't really the best of ideas, you won't grow much as an author and u won't ever release an og track. Do ur own stuff, people will respect and like u more for it

 

I feel ya man, ive only been around for 2 years and I felt the exact same way u do when I first joined the forum. Everyone was really good at track making and I felt out of my depth, everyone had years of experience on other games with some of the best authors around, whilst I had just started. I just stuck at it and practised to get to where I am today. If u compare this accounts tracks to my 2nd accounts, Volund, you can see my progression from being a spammer, to a half decent track maker, to where I am now. Just keep practicing dude, you'll get there one day

Yeah, imitating a successful artist won't help you become better, it'll just help you imitate a successful artist. No good comes of it. You've gotta pick up ideas and try them for yourself!

 

OK thx for the help guys imma make a track of some rocks and try to detail them with my own style dont rlly know what that is yet, and ill check out some of the featured tracks

 

Although I do agree with part of this, seeing how others are able to do certain things in this game can really help your creativity. Loosely trying to do something someone else has done helps you figure out what you do and do not like about their style, helping your style in the process.

I know it's not done yet, but you should heavily shade the reflection with gray. You've probably already done it but yeah you've gotta mirror it well

In the past I had tested so may different styles and detailing techniques that I have now found my own unique style. Ha ha now your cronies can stop telling me I'm copying you.

I disagree. For almost any artistic skill, people will usually imitate until they have enough skill to branch off on their own. It absolutely helps you get better when you imitate because you learn the basics of drawing for instance, and then you can apply what you've learned from other styles into something more original. That's how I learned how to draw in this game and I have otherwise no artistic abilities outside of this when it comes to drawing, and I certainly didn't before this game.

 

in a way, u find what u like drawing in a mx of other's drawings... it's not copying, it's just finding what u really like and can draw well
