his style of track is different than yours, no need to **** on him.
what makes the track so good and unique is that the focal point is not detail or ride. it's to experience and explore the track, something that hasn't been done to this scale before.
I also want to remind everyone that this was originally 2000k bigger but then frhd servers decided to not store the track or something

Coming from a guy who doesnt really like smooth tracks, and is all about the "2 mins all detail" mantra, this track for me is mesmerizing. Because it isnt overly difficult, it becomes a lot of fun exploring the map and enjoying yourself. I spent 20 mins yesterday screwing around in the city part, today will probs be another 20 mins on the other side of the map
Obviously not everyone will like it, but ******* hell to spend this much time and be told its ****? C'mon, its not that bad.

And lets be honest, if this was fully detailed A. It would be over 35,000 k and B. It would break the game
The track is original, its fun and its ******* long. Love it

 

Listen here, I'm not sh*tting on him because I think it's insufficient or because he's getting too much praise. It was a huge undertaking and I understand that, but I really don't understand the appeal in a track so bland and vast to the point where I didn't even bother ghosting it after I looked through it.

If the premise of the track is to explore, then why can't we spend some time trying to make it interesting enough to want to? There's no motive, no focal points, and for god's sake the ride isn't even all that appealing or fun. I hate to be this person, but literally all I'm hearing is how incredible this track is, when there's no interesting tasks to undertake or beautiful scenes to explore. Hell, even the layout is crap.

I'm all for innovation, and I'm sorry about being the bearer of bad news; but this isn't it.

Nothing against you, Wyatt, but I know you are capable of more.

 

I'm sensing people are jealous tbh.... piss off haters. You don't belong here. Go spread your crap elsewhere or not at all unless it's an opinion (CityShep , I'm not meaning you btw lol you actually do the right thing ) and not dragging people down. WyattStonhouse spent ages on that for 1, the visual of the track zoomed out was awesome. The other side of the track was pretty cool, I tried that out last night and I didn't find it "boring" alex. You saying it was boring was meant to drag this down...(it wasn't an opinion, I could tell) try use better words next time. Increase your vocabulary. Please explain this: "Petition to change let's explore's name to Epic Failure" yeah cause that's TOTALLY an opinion, not. That's just idiotic
I'm not a person to really like smooth tracks so much but that was really good. If it was about the detail, then I wouldn't say it was the best but that ride is ******* great... so smooth. But then again, I'm pretty sure this track isn't ALL about the detail. YES I HAVE SEEN OTHER TRACKS THAT MAY BE BETTER. I'M NOT SAYING THIS IS THE BEST TRACK
The only piece of criticism I have is that maybe not spend as much time on the other side, then all of that work could have gone into the track you ride. This isn't the best track by you Wyatt but it IS up there. Too much hate, like get over it. It's HIS track and he made it the way HE wanted to, so leave HIM be

You guys need to remember that saying something that isn't the majority opinion does not make it hateful speech. Alex and Shep both were kind and respectable with their criticisms, as they only spoke negatively of the track, not the author. Both even praised the author, which is super sweet of them.

And I share the same sentiments. The track isn't incredible in my opinion, but it does show the potential of Wyatt and hopefully he can learn and improve from this by listening to some respected trackmakers that are giving solid advice. Of course he should listen to the good and the bad, but don't disregard the bad just because it goes against the grain.

 

Did you even see what was on dc? no... there was so much crap there which was really degrading

 

Discord? That's not on HD, there's no relevance to that here. It doesn't matter what was said off-site, everyone is free to have their own opinions and free to share their opinions in that environment. In this forum, in this topic hosted by Wyatt, they've been nothing but respectful. Other discussions may as well be private between friends, and they aren't relevant here.

 

defiantly feature worthy, but i agree it could be better, but with it so large it can't be so much better detailed with out having a 10000K+ track making impossible to upload
and i also do not like smooth tracks but because this is so big and so much work was put into it i like it

I agree with Ness. There is nothing about Shep or alex' opinions that may be perceived as personal, offensive or irrelevant to the subject. Their criticism is perfectly executed, and is obviously only meant as advice for Wyatt's improvement. The replies to their posts were however unnecessarily hostile and rather irrelevant.
I also agree with Alex and Shep in their criticism. I do not care for these kind of tracks, as I am personally very detail- oriented. But I also like the variety of tracks Wyatt produces, which is a quality I wouldn't want him to give up.
I don't really have a solid opinion on if this should be featured or not, as I can understand that some would like it, even if I personally don't.

Ok this track was a huge undertaking, very immersive and wyatt's hard work earned him a feature. Sure the ride and detail could be improved, but you have to give the guy some credit. Some people like it, some people don't, everyone is entitled to their own opinion. There was a lot of praise and there was some constructive criticism that was taken very poorly by the general audience who very enjoyed much enjoyed it. Wyatt's track was impressive and hard to pull off, but there could be improvements. End of story, now everyone get along.

 

Are you implying that your track is better than others on the featured list? I'd have to disagree. And I'd also like to see you respond to some of the criticisms aimed at your track.
