Suggest a featured track!

Yeah I do aggree with that. The difficulty of his tracks is a bit much for the average player. I do like the ride of your tracks more, and the smoothness. We just started to bring in more tracks to feature. Iv been wanting some of your tracks featured for a while. You put out consistently good tracks.

Right, and thats fine, but the people who release more content on a dayylee basiiiss, shouldn't be punished. They are the ones who are truly keeping the site up and content flowing.

Actually, those who release on a daily basis get punished less than the ones who don't by more views, subscribers and likes because they post regularly. I don't see how that's being punished... People who get featured tracks often barely even scrape those who have a nice track on trending for a week or so.

Yeah, I was referring to featured. We have to keep the featured flowing in some ways. They do get more subs etc.

As critical as I sound on all on this the users who get the features or the praise does need to be rewarded for the right reasons i.e. main tracks and not, honestly I think it's worth more getting the plays and the praise compared to just the thing and it's not even seeming that. I think that all work with clear effort put in should be praised but at the right level of it, you can't just reward someone to that level on overall effort if they never hit the nail on the head. It'll still be a nail not in the wall, not a hammered in nail. Then again to nail in a nail with a hammer it doesn't take a perfect hit, I think we're struggling to find a good level of acceptance of quality to quantity, if this quantity actually exists because a good track takes time, elite class or not.
You can see that since the start of the year we've seen about half of what was featured last night quantity wise so it's not as if the problem is as bad as it was, we just need to an eye out and encourage, with the increasingly quality of the users and the tracks that come out it will pick up, you have to be patient about it.

i used to put out lots of tracks, and i got more subs and likes, but now i try to make big well detailed tracks
maybe u like lots of ok tracks best, but i feel the need to make good tracks
and tbh u probably want a mix of authors some that post lots of ok tracks and some that post a few great tracks, which is how it is right now

 

I would like to take this opportunity and ask why this, at the very least isnt featured: http://www.freeriderhd.com/t/212326-sld-ultimate-dirt-special It has all around a good level of detail, is original but best of all is a track that caters to the BMX, MTB and/or the Helicopter. This track is at the height of originality in terms of the ride, yet was overlooked. I dont see why this shouldnt be featured, especially with this newer level of featured tracks. I have long been a quiet fan of goofy's and I have always been perplexed as to why this track, at the very least, isnt featured.
As well as this, he contributes tracks of a high standard and enjoyment regularly, so I really cant see a good reason as to why this isnt featured. I know the detail isnt amazing, but he has mastered the art of difficult and fun dirt flow tracks and if Ness can do simple-detail skateparks, then I see no reason why goofy cant do simple-detail dirt tracks. Both are similar in that they focus more on the ride than the detail, yet goofy has 0 features compared to Ness' 6. Im not saying that Ness doesnt deserve them, only that if you consider that his tracks are ride>detail, then you should do the same for goofy.
Apologies if this came off harsh, but I think that more than anything the feat list should be fair, rather than insanely tough. I dont really consider this track old, so I see no good reason why it shouldnt be featured. Looking forward to seeing what the feat mods think, and again I am not trying to start an argument.
Edit; Also goofyinc is by far the most underrated author on here, no doubts about it

 

I disagree with you man. Goofyinc doesn't have the same kind of vision that Jordan does. Like, cool, it's another smooth "dirt jumps" type track, with unimpressive detail and an overused style. It's not really comparable to something like http://www.freeriderhd.com/t/130935-aurora, which is stylistically unique and innovative.

From what I've observed and experienced, you have to be thinking out of the box to make sure you end up on the list.

as said above, I focus on gameplay more than on background stuff. Also I draw these tracks mostly for myself for when it's raining and the trails are too wet too ride. So if the sun's out i'll be digging trails and riding my bike.

Yeah, I agree, he creates a lot of good tracks, and I have probably been his biggest supporter/fan . Maybe we can bring up some older tracks to feature at some point, mainly to get old great content onto the home page. We are definitely going to need to add a new section soon to bring up old tracks to the front. Editors picks of some sort. Thats my plan.
