I mean I know you're right . You can take your time and develop your track and that's quite right to me. In fact D&D (Design and Development) are crucial for this game. However I do not understand why making a track that no one is going to beat. The problem maybe it's not what we consider when we rate them but how we rate the tracks. Unfortunately we can punctuate designs only and we have to consider everything. When it comes to design a track that will be played further consider how is the player is going to feel it's a must for me. A hard track that you can not beat no matter how hard you try ends up being frustrating when it comes to game scoring and improving your skills as a player. In the end you can either be a FreeRiderHD player or track designer: It's just a matter of what you like most. To me the best tracks are not the easiest ones but the ones you can learn with.
'Why make a track that no one can beat' Of course people are gonna beat it, hard tracks are designed for the pro players and are meant to be challenging. 'Playing hard tracks is frustrating when it comes to improving your skills' It's literally the complete opposite. The main point however is that I see absolutely no reason to DISLIKE the track just because it's hard, can't you just ignore it? Also none of your sentences make ******* sense, please seek help
Backtwice CityShep why are you guys constantly attacking people? his attitude is the same as 90% of the playerbase, its nothing new... leave him alone.
the ones you can learn with are the ones you can't beat. I've gotten good-ish because I've played a bunch of tracks that challenge me. my dad was a pretty good basketball player (would've made varsity as a freshmen had he not had oshgood shlatters or something). how was he so good? he played with the older kids. the older kids always gave him a tough game and he learned how to play like them. soon enough, he was as good as them and better than everyone his age. trying to complete challenging tracks does the same thing. plus, I personally find hard tracks to be more fun than a lame, undetailed jumps track because after completing a hard track, I have a minor adrenaline boost. what happens when I play a jump track that hundreds of other people have likely completed? nothing. and honestly, if you acknowledge that a lot of hard work was put into a track that you can't beat, don't give it a thumbs down. either don't rate it or give it a +1 because of the sheer amount of effort that was put into making the track. yes, we know that we're not what the majority here, but sometimes, doing the right thing is not what most people want
lol i had to I think you guys should re-evaluate some of the older nominated tracks if you are going to be more lenient. That's all I'm going to say. Just using this track as a standard: http://www.freeriderhd.com/t/217687-citadel and comparing it to this once again: http://www.freeriderhd.com/t/155485-the-dreamt-place I see no bias. nope, none at all.
Or perhaps instead of the old "Officially Recommended" section, we could make a new "best of the best" section in which only the very best featured tracks were displayed, and then just make the current featured section even more lenient (slightly). just tossing out ideas here.
We're currently making the system more lenient due to stuff anyway but your two examples are weird. Poor wyatt give him his due he'll get his goal.
I still think that this track should have some sort of consideration http://www.freeriderhd.com/t/236109-imensi-ns
Max007x WheelieMaker Maple Ness Elibloodthirst I'm confused. My recent track, Deadrising tribute, is currently on trneding and getting alot of comments. One of these comments was "Featured! Nice!" By cooliobro I'm not sure if this is a misunderstanding or if it was there and gotten taken down. I just wanna know what requirements I need to work on for my next track, BC I made this one for featured, but it didn't quite make it apparently. Thanks, And I'll try to work on anything that needs to be worked on for my next track. ~The_Rider
No it didn't make it make the featuring list and is on trending, the comments i can't explain they just are like that sorry *shrugs* Just because you make something for featured doesn't necessarily mean you're gonna get a featured track, you have had vast improvements on your tracks compared to your older stuff and I am very proud of your achievements but there is still a while to go until the features. First of all is a good balance and control with your detail, I can tell what it is but it isn't neat and there is a lot of unnecessary lines. The best thing to do with that is to know what each line is doing. The sprites look fine and do look like what they're meant to but are still not exactly of that quality, especially when 2x2 sizing takes a lot away from the spriting, it's just something that takes time to master. Length is fine. Quality and design you need to keep an eye on, you gotta make sure that everything is layed out in a way where it's placed there for a reason. If you look on the first page it DOES tell you everything - Eli
It doesn't matter what others tell you in the terms of features. Only the moderators have that power to give you a judgement on that and I'm sorry but there's still a while to go. Read the first post and take what I said into consideration.
