This is to make very long posts based on how you feel you've evolved as a trackmaker starting with the first track you ever made, I'll start:

    --------

I played FR1 and FR2 starting back when both first came out, but I didnt join a community for either. I first joined canvasrider sometime mid-2011 and put out this track: http://canvasrider.com/tracks/868579 its really bad. But at the time I thought it was cool to make a level that long. I ended up joining the forum shortly after.

I continued to make stuff and this was the first track I posted on the forum: http://canvasrider.com/tracks/905675 http://forum.canvasrider.com/post481752.html#p481752 shortly after though I began to feel the heat from the community as I continued to post some bad tracks and they were pretty badly received by the forum community. After basically being told my tracks were absolute trash and getting into multiple arguments on the forum. I decided to make a new account where I would focus on making tracks differently: pssst.

The first track I made on the new account was this one: http://canvasrider.com/tracks/917610 and I continued to make several tracks like that, my favorite being this one: http://canvasrider.com/tracks/1027701 I called it the "warehouse" style, still however it didnt garner praise from the then-CR community. It was basically at a time where nature detail was demanded for a track to be considered good, unless you made skatepark tracks, which I tried but didnt find fun to make. Also around this time, I was banned from CR and made a few alts, where I changed up the focus of my trackd.

When I got unbanned my focus shifted to playing around with grid lines and tracing them to make pipes http://canvasrider.com/tracks/1213093 I made several tracks with this new style http://canvasrider.com/tracks/1442449 and while I was working on perfecting it. Disaster struck, the forum was having a meltdown because CR was shutting down. Luckily a forumer who really never made any tracks on his own, haxzerz, was working on somewhat of a mirror to the CR site, BHR was born. And I joined it while he was making the site work. I got back to grinding and made what I felt like was my crowning acheivement at the time https://www.freeriderhd.com/t/453087-000777777. Its got to be kept in mind while playing this track it was made before the curve tool and 10x10 grid, so every line and curve and generally space in general I had to count out to make it symmetrical, and still it isnt perfect, but I was proud of what I made at the time.

During the gap between CR's shutdown and FRHD's release on BHR I began collabing with mmi whos quit right now, but he may pop up sometime again. We made two featured tracks on that site together: https://www.freeriderhd.com/t/67855-oxide and https://www.freeriderhd.com/t/67854-alumic.

However, the site was pretty dead for awhile, a once toxic community (CR forum) was basically being held together by a small group of people. And I hosted the first Remix Contest which was really the only succesful contest on BHR and kept the community from dying. And it made it up until the release of FRHD.

I joined FRHD pretty soon after it came out, but not sure when I joined the forum fr because I was trying to get access to my account because I was a "classic author" for a little bit. Based on what my profile says my forum account was registered a month after its release on Dec 5th, 2013. And so I began lackadaisaclly chilling as a forumer on both sites. Really hyped about both, because haxzerz seemed to be actively developing BHR just as much as Char was developing the new FRHD. And by what I remember the first FRHD editor wasnt really that good.

But shortly after things like the editor was fixed and the new community started really growing people began to want more recognition for their tracks and a higher status. Featured tracks, elite author status, etc. I wanted those too, so I decided to put in work on making another feature, originally intended to be entirely a solo project, I wanted it to be special and have some sort of variation so I asked Ness to make a skatepark, which he outdid himself and Foundations to "draw anything" and the rest was me on https://www.freeriderhd.com/t/81378-wooden-bucket which I still regard as my best track. Got featured here, felt like I was a shoe-in for whatever status would come, didnt come.

So I directed my attention elsewhere again, and hosted the 3rd Remix Contest in which a bunch of the early features were made.

Kinda took a backseat to the game after that, just spammed the forums. Mmi made an appearance ended up making blue trashcan with him, got featured, I dont really like the track though. But we both started on a code that would get like 50% done, then I just let it sit in my private messages/email for a few months. Then I finally had the urge to finish it and put out CO3. Then I joined the army, now Im at my duty station making tracks again.

    why not

so, my very first stint with free rider was way back in 2009, when i discovered free rider 2 on onemorelevel.com. at the time, i was really into bmx racing and i loved the concept of making nice dirt tracks with the brush tool. that went on for a while, but i never knew how to save the code. i distinctly remember freerider2game, where you would play tracks by copying a code and then pasting it to the editor. thing is, i didn't know what codes even were, let alone know how they worked, so i just spammed my keyboard in the code box. this was funny, because i thought for the longest time that i had made the sickest supercross racing track when really it was nothing, maybe a line or two due to my keyboard spam code. i also remember people replying "wtf even is this" and "horrible track!" and then my naive 6 year old self replying "hey, you really shouldn't be rude! that isn't nice." eventually i just got bored of this over time and pretty much abandoned the game.

five years later, i got super bored one day, and i was browsing flash game sites for some quality entertainment, when free rider struck my mind. i decided to google it, and it things were way different then they were five years before. i noticed an entire different site. i ended up registering for the game using my moms email (WHICH I STILL NEED TO CHANGE Char Eric) and getting back into the trackmaking game. within a few months, i was already spamming horrible 10 second trials and autos, and i filled up the 100-track limit. then, i made a super emotional post on the forums where i said i was leaving and couldn't make tracks anymore (i still remember Max007x getting upset at me :D). a couple days after this happened, they upped the limit therefore letting me make more tracks. but this time, i actually wanted to work on my tracks and put effort into them instead of making horrible trials.

since i was browsing the forums more and more, i ended up meeting armator and Elibloodthirst. i thought they were really weird, and i didn't even know who was who. the first post i ever read of eli's was him yelling at FREEZ. however, talking to them more and more on the tinychat that they linked me to, i ended up becoming good friends with both of them. eventually, the frhd tinychat at the time became inactive, so people started going onto an old canvasrider tinychat. there, i met Noob, where he invited me to bhr. he also gave me a bunch of pointers and tips on how to make great autos and i saw myself improving with them. i was scared of bhr at first, people kept yelling at me and saying "arent u like 11 lol" but over time i got used to the community (which isn't entirely a good thing ). from then on i kept making tracks, trying to do original stuff. discovering great trackmakers like @Vapaa and Ness really inspired me to go after some styles, in which I did (maybe too much).

nothing much has changed from there, i think i've been making the same kinds of tracks since then :p

quick shoutout to Volund because he was always encouraging me. may sound cheesy but he was that one guy who was supportive no matter what. love u corey

anyways thanks 4 readin, i'm sorry this kinda turned into a life story rather than a story specifically about my trackmaking style but i'd still say i covered the latter topic enough

I started in 2015 i think, playing on mobile. I only made grid tracks and trials to begin with. then i started to draw really crappy detail. I kept drawing on mobile up until my track "synthesis". I stopped playing for a month or two and then started using the computer. I published "phenomenal" which really wasnt phenomenal. But shep thought i had a sliver of potential and invited me to bhr.

Pssst hosted the fourth remix contest, which i joined and made some decent tracks for. This is around the time TituaonLocatelli Wave started making some amazing tracks. So I made really small tracks with higher quality detail as not to be outdone. Wave continues to be a lot better than me.

A while later, I joined ERA (which hasnt done anything) and made "basaprei copses" for riderextreme2's poetry contest. I decided to do a forest poem, because thats pretty much all i could detail and im not that creative. That track ended up really good

since I was on bhr, i saw all the juicy autos there and started experimenting. Made a few and i've been improving ever since. I'm not as good as wheeliemaker, noob, 010david010, bt, yoyo, etc. but I'm defo in the top 10. lol I'm finally better at Wave in something. I joined an auto collab with AngryGroudon mudkip darksmoke11 and RiderExtreme2. I'm pretty sure its done but nobody has posted it yet.

I haven't recently posted anything of merit, but my new alt @mistatungtwista will be where i post my better tracks.

ok so back a while, maybe like 2012 or something i found 'free rider' and 'free rider 2' somehow on the internet and i just messed around in the editor, i never made an account. a friend introduced me to canvas rider, which to me, was the same but better. i still never made an account, i made terrrible autos and tracks, just to for my own amusement, as they were gone forever once i closed out of it. then free rider hd started, i still preferred canvas rider (just for making tracks, i thought free rider hd was weird and different). then i left and came back after awhile, and decided to make an account. there, i uploaded my first terrible auto! yay! the rest of my tracks from that moment were bad, pretty bad. very bad. and after some more terrible autos, i got really into making challenging tracks (which werent that hard). then BOOM i had my first hit. but i was getting a little better at racing from all the practice from canvas rider. then after a year or so i came back to it, and started making more ok tracks. i was kinda sad though bcause i couldnt get anymore tracks with over 1k plays and put in most of my effort for like no plays and 2 likes. side-note: anyone reading this comment 'i read your long and boring paragraph on that one thread' on my profile page. it feels like i just made my 15 subscriber special lol. i was barely progressing. then i thought forums will help boost plays on my tracks, but i didnt want to self-advertise so it didnt do much. some people started to recognize me, saying i was underrated and such. and shoutout to megacharizard for being the first person to help me get famous, and he also thought i was underrated. idk how much it helped. i started to get some more for placing 3rd in some contest. i changed my name somewhere, and i was slowly gaining subs and fame. without me realizing it, i was actually a little popular. then i started to get recognition for my racing skills. i wanted to focus on track-making bcause i thought i was all the rage, so when ppl where like 'nice time' i was like 'no it wasnt shut up im a good author lol' (in my head, even though i wasnt a good track maker. i just wanted to be a good track maker). i honestly didnt think i was a good racer or 'ghoster'. but then i got drafted to that NFRL or something like that, i forgot the abbreviation. but i was like WHOA IM RACING WITH THE BIG BOYS NOW and i was exciting but nervous that i'd suck. then i came in 2nd for that box contest even tho i thought i wouldnt place top ten and i was like 'hey, i might be better than i think lol'. then i realized most of my tracks were getting 20+ likes and i was doing ok as a track making and a ghoster. and at the peak of my career, i quit. came back after a month and started fresh with this new account.

this is not that accurate, my second popular track was 8 months ago, and i had like 3 others back then. but throughout 11 months ago to like 6 months i'd get really happy if i had a track with 20+ thumbs up. but most of it was a slow, gradual progression of slowly getting recognized. i still feel new to FRHD even tho i've been on for like a year. like, i have no clue what the heck BHR is other than the fact it stands for black hat rider. i still feel very left out because i missed out on BHR. i kinda feel like a noob who happened to get close to the 'big boys' (aka anyone who (i think) was on BHR or just famous and i recognized before i got semi-popular)

Welp....I started on freerider 3 in 2015 I think...Then I found frhd in like early 2016.. Thats when I started making tracks. They were crappy grid trials (and non grid trials.) They were either ugly or messy. Then in the beggining of 2017 I started making decent autos. Ive improved over time. I have tried a small bit of detailing but not too much. Now I am doing a WIP feat. (Much better detail). Inspired by cityshep, spruce, wheeliemaker2, Ishu etc.
I originally played on cr in 2013 tho. I did not make tracks back then.
    Yep...thats my story.

Thanks for the mention pssst I'm glad that was a high point in your career (if you want to call it that). I guess I might as well take a trip down memory lane and see how we go.

It all started on site called Trackmill. And according to my register date it was Jan 14 2010 (http://trackmill.com/forums/index.php?members/ninjaz.225993/) but I had an account before that which I dropped to call myself Ninjaz and get a fresh look I suppose so we can argue that I first signed up in late 2009 early 2010. Being a right noob I was quite terrible at making tracks but some how made friends with people on the forums, making a few collab tracks here and there. I started off making these "Journey to da *Insert some random words a 12 year old thought was cool*". Looking back at them now holy lord I have no idea why people wanted to make tracks with me. I mean, just look at this ****. http://trackmill.com/free-rider-2/Tracks/1004967

Looking at my tracks I apparently had a fetish for mountains and variations of the like, in reality I probs still do. One the the better tracks to come out of Trackmill would have to be this collab with Marckisawesome who made this dope as wheelie which I threw my own track on. http://trackmill.com/free-rider-2/Tracks/1199756
Lads like JTC, East, WM, Eli, d3ck3r, Monstah, RapJourney, Scipion (who I convinced to get onto the forums) made sick tracks and the community was probably the least toxic it ever was other than all of the million randos who downrated every new track that wasn't on the front page. Scip made me those dope gallery http://trackmill.com/forums/index.php?threads/ninjazs-dojo.16239/ and here is a list of all the trash I ever made on Trackmill: http://trackmill.com/free-rider-2/creator/Ninjaz/1

Eventually people started to migrate from Trackmill to CR and thus Foundations was born. By this stage I had more of a clue on how to make tracks http://canvasrider.com/tracks/740201 (or did I?) and I believe this is where I first met the beloved Elibloodthirst who got me to join fr2.me or something along those lines where I made: http://canvasrider.com/tracks/932879 to become king of the peasants (VIP, Pro, whatever else you wanna call it) and made another classic http://canvasrider.com/tracks/855517. From here I was convinced to post tracks on Freerider.org or whatever it was called (the crappy site with a poor editor that used colour and anything black and white wasn't good enough for people) (racists). When CR died and I lost interest in Free rider Eli got me to join the infamous BHR where I found a love for making tracks again and people thought I was good so I got a massive ego trip. I made tracks like Sanctuary with Zwinx, Oblivion with Hashplant, Elysian with WheelieMaker and Paradise Now. I also managed to secure first place for the #1 Track contest on BHR which got me a real neato medal.

Here is the link for those who can actually view it of the list of tracks that I made over there (some which were never posted here): http://blackhatrider.com/users/Foundations
My Fav track coming from pssst 's first remix contest which was insanely awesome and back when people actually committed to making tracks for a contest rather than spending the next month posting how they haven't had time to make an entry or how bad their's is compared to everyone elses: http://blackhatrider.com/tracks/2196

Now I'm here and there making half finished tracks that I say will get finished eventually but in all likelihood probs wont *cough* Paradise Now, The Rift, Project: Align *cough*. Add a features here and there and that is a short summary of how I got here.
Overall it has been quite the ride with a few highs and lows and people I call friends went off into the real world and left this chapter of their lives behind. Hopefully for the people that still play and make tracks this site doesn't die like all the others before it.

Prob gonna condense the **** out of this coz ive been here agessss.

Okay so I was database only on rfshq and fr2db from sept 2008, i would just spend like an hour or two and make tracks which where pretty crap. Around august 2009 I joined the trackmill forums and didnt post too much tbh, just lurked and had the odd post from time to time. I didnt make anything spectacular but two tracks on my deadrising account got feature on fr2db. D:day 6:00 and Rocky mountain. Honestly the tracks were subpar at best and the only thing I enjoyed was the creativity of d-day. Nothing much more happened with that until July 17th 2010.

From that moment I joined the fr2db forums and I couldnt stop going on the forums, I was a nub and I didnt get far with anything until I got invited to fr2me. There I got my first features and I met Amanda the first time, we hit off like wildfire were immediately great mates, spoke almost everyday til 2am and Id talk to her whenever I could. During the next few months I made breaking the barrier, first track and mews forest. The latter two got me into sprite making.
With my new love for sprites I made a track called Ultimate Sprites, now that was the first instance I thought a track of mine was actually good and I still think that it is good. Nothing too much happened further from that for a while, a usual me on and me making and in March of 2012 a contest came out. Spring gaming contest on trackmill, now this is the only time I've ever gone ham on an official contest entry, nights without sleep, days dedicated to a track and after 3 weeks I felt ill and released it early but finished as much as I could, Red Version. The first colour version I'd ever done and I thought it was the ****, I tried to make a colour pallet too at that time but nothing was defined. I didnt even place in that contest but I got a feature on the developed cr so that was something.
In terms of people, tbh there's so many I talked tk or tried to talk to, each individual has something else to give, I wasnt the most popular user but i tried to talk to as many as possible.
From Red I decided to make a series of colour tracks, with highs and lows alike many people favoured my tracks where others hadnt (Gold is in the fantasy campaign!) Which is fine, I guess the premise does get boring somewhat after a while.
On bhr I became a feat mod, this was to help people get features, I suppose this feature came relatively earlish on and Ive been doing it ever since. During so I started dating and travelling with Armator in the summer of '13 we started dating from that and would see her every summer, that inspired me to make 3 albums: Summer of Love which had the biggest track for 2 1/2 years Lust and my most played track ever Love which got into frhd's mountain campaign (its based off seaside cliffs), Retro which had the hits Blue and Descent Caliginous Isolation and Summer of Hate which had Vacant and Descent Hysteria. Personally these albums had some of my greatest works in them and I'm utterly proud of them.
After the 3 albums I've become quieter in my track making prowess especially in scale with only Mews Forest 3, Alien Exudation (best track of mine? Featured on pssst remix contest 4!), Crystallite (Colour 6, was a school project), Clinched Butte and Acid over the space of 18 months. I do have 3 wips coming but i'm not like I was. Freerider has ben constantly developing and I as a person have met some wonderful people including 10 in person! I will stay as long as I can but I'll never be as good as I was.

played frhd for around 4 years now. had multiple accounts, not satisfied by the tracks i was making, thinking that if I made a new account, i would get a better reputation for my shitty tracks. I found myself looking at other tracks and authors that were very skilled at detailing (lolz666, Maple, Wave, etc.) and started to work on my detailing. Although its not perfect, i feel like I have improved as an author and I know that I have way more to improve on. I took a break for a while around a year ago and started playing cr (thought that it would improve my riding skills). ive gotten a little better at riding over the years but im far away from the best. I got some tracks coming out sometime soon. One with yaxkin and one with spruce (when he gets a new computer).

Found out about a ghetto flash variation of free rider in like 2008, made some garbage tracks but there was no database to upload them to. In maybe 2011 I discovered FR2.me and CR. I used to browse it and play tracks there, but I never made a CR account. I made an FR2.me account though, and uploaded scribbly nature tracks under the alias 'Thing' and got next to no attention but like maybe talked with Elibloodthirst once. I knew all the members but never really talked with them, I think I posted on the forums like three times in shitty old threads that were like "how long can you hold your breath" and stuff like that . Game got bought out by that shitty FR3 franchise and the site (along with all my first tracks) got deleted. Oh well, should've joined CR instead.

Fast forward to 2015, found out about FRHD and scribbled up a track in like three days after school. Was still a noob and reminiscing on the old days, so I didn't erase any of my guidelines so it was super sloppy. Anyways that track was Vermilion Cliffs and it was based off a place of the same name in Arizona that I visited like two summers before. Didn't expect to come back after posting it, but it ended up getting featured and I got invited to BHR by xwinx. At this point I'm like "holy brap I've actually progressed as an artist" since I managed to get a feature and people are praising my track, so I decided to stay.

A year passes. A few collabs, lots of bullying on BHR, some good friends, and many featured tracks later. At this point I'm talking with Elibloodthirst, armator, and many others on the daily. I'm on a roll with the tracks and one day Backtwice shoots me a PM saying he likes my work and would like to collab on something huge. I'm like hell yeah because I saw what he did on his recently featured (on BHR) track Rotate II and was really blown away by his work. So he sends me this code and I dookie my pants because I'm like jesus christ I'll never finish this thing because it's so massive. He's like hell yeah you will. I'm like aigh I guess I will. With tons of motivation, hundreds of Skype calls from him and Noob, and help from the lord and savior Leon Guis, I get it done, eight months later. That track was Rotate III.

Since then I've shat out like one or two more features, memed a ton, gotten banned at least three times, and actually flown my crazy ass out to Finland to meet those two who met me through Rotate and Ebolaids. We talk on the daily at this point, and Backtwice and I actually have something way bigger in store for the future. Noob and I might have something big too but that's just a vision at this point. Who knows.

Anyways yeah that's my Free Rider story hope u liked it :thumbsup::thumbsup:

At least four times a week, maybe 30 minutes to an hour each day? There was a quiet period for a month and a half maybe at the end where we waited on Arm to do a part but she ended up passing it up so I finished the words instead, which took a week of like four hours each day.

Oh jeez its been a while for me. I found out about cr like 2012 and start just playing tracks. Never made an account, never made any tracks, I just used the game to pass time in school. That kept up until end of the school year in 2013 and then i pretty much forgot about the game. Fast forward to 2014, like November-ish I was bored in school again, needed something to do and jumped back on to playing cr. Eventually found my way to FRHD and decided to finally make an account. I played every week day I was in school and hardly paid attention in classes. Then early 2015 I decided to actually try and make a track. It was terrible (https://www.freeriderhd.com/t/61311-hold-up) one of the trash hold up tracks that look like they took 5 minutes to put together. It got like 5 likes at the time, but I thought it was great and kept going. The next three months consisted of me posting one trash auto after another and half of them were broken. During that time I really got into ghosting trials and I published two of my own that were once again trash. School year ended and I forgot about the game again. Then, fall of 2015 I started playing again and got quite a bit better at ghosting. By then I had racked up about 8000 points and thought "wow I might actually not be terrible" even though my tracks were still trash. I decided to have another go at track making and put a bit more effort into them now.

I made Trial house (https://www.freeriderhd.com/t/262857-trial-house-trials-1) and with the wonderful advice of a player named ei8ht I discovered the grid tool. I made a couple more trial type tracks and they weren't received the greatest. I tried my hand at detailing more and with the release of tracks like Into the Hills and Mirage (my collab with FatLard212) I thought I was getting decent. I decided to start work on a really big project and spent a month or two on it. I joined the forums in March of 2016 and soon after published that big project, Nature's Wheelie (https://www.freeriderhd.com/t/278118-natures-wheelie) I blew up. It was the first time I had ever been on trending and my subscriber count jumped by 80 or 90. I went back to making trials after this and put out a couple half decent ones, and one that ended up winning me Furano's Trial Contest. In this time I got talking to DarkMilk and we became pretty good friends. I also noticed that on every single climbing track I made this guy named Bananpeel87 always had first place. Got talking to him and he really inspired me to start ghosting more. I did and eventually learned to spacebar. You guys know him as Sidewalk now.

Somewhere in all that time I did a collab with AJ_Boss called interdimensional and I hosted the Picture box contest and got a ton of hate from it (well deserved hate I might add).

Back to trackmaking, I decided to enter into the_rider 's randomized collab contest and ended up getting paired with mudkip This is where my motivation for the game really kicked off. Mudkip started his detail on the track and I was in awe. I mimicked his style through other parts of the track and then developed the ground detail all on my own. We published what is arguably my best track, Errako (https://www.freeriderhd.com/t/290712-erakko-rcc-ft-mudkip). It didn't go over as well as I hoped, but I had a new inspiration. I took a break from detailing and published some climbing tracks and trials.

Thats when I started to get into coding. I was in my computer science class at school and when I had extra time, I would fiddle around in Javascript making stuff for freerider, inspired my KillerMeemStar's FRHD Lang. I ended up making my own code based drawing tools and eventually made a program that could generate offroad, speedrun, or climbing tracks at random. I made another account (freeriderhd.com/u/zeke15gen) to post these generated tracks but then I lost motivation to post on there and it died pretty quick. I took a break from the code and went back to detailing and made Tracks like House of Gold, When its time, and Fotocynthecis. I jumped back to making trials and other junk until I started playing with fractals. I got to the point that I could use javascript to generate track files as large as 50 Megabytes. I decided to publish a track called Dianthus. It was large but I thought frhd's compiling algorithm would compress it smaller. It wasn't as small as I thought and ended up making onto the biggest tracks section, something I feel kind of ashamed about.

Remix Contest 5 started and I was determined to make something for it, but as always I lost motivation and published Nullam for round two, unfinished. I had the idea of combining round one and two into one track because they fit well together but judges hated it so oh well. Wasn't gonna win anyway. This past 5 months since then, I have lost most of my motivation for this game, especially going off to college this year. I still ghost almost daily, but I gave on making tracks. I decided to host my Picture Box Contest for a second year and it went over great once again, this time, no complaint about judging, however I have yet to take the time to publish the top ten compilation. I pooped out a couple in the past month or so that are short and simple with some newer detail. i decided to make a second account for actual decent tracks (freeriderhd.com/u/sitric) but idk if I'll ever end up making them. Only time will tell.

It's weird to think that I've been here for so long because I still feel like a noob half the time. Yeah I ghost pretty decently, but I'm not one of the greatest authors out there. I'm just a decent guy who's contributed to eh community for a couple years.

e; Sorry for writing a flippin novel
