Want to talk about college stuff? This could be either sharing tips for success or any stories you'd like sharing (I have something I could share and maybe more in the future). Also, feel free to ask any questions about college you may have if you are not attending one.

College is the most wonderful thing to have ever happened lmao. Living in an on campus apartment nicer than the shithole my parents live in, got my own bedroom, share a kitchen, livingroom, and 2 bathrooms with other guys. All you can eat food (even if the food isnt great). Easy classes, plenty of free time, a girlfriend, great friends, parties, and no parents to deal with. Plus there's a couple construction sites on campus and abandon buildings around the city that I've explored and taken some dope pictures.

e; University of Cincinnati that is. Also Shep, if you can afford to go out of state or got scholarship money to cover it, the design program at UC is insane

Finally have a complete idea of the degree I am going for. A major in urban planning (most likely a master's) with a focus of sustainability and a minor in health and environment.

According to our university, transfers have a drop in their GPA compared to their previous college. My grades are rolling in so we'll see. Also looking into a study abroad program for planning with my college. If i get in, we will visit South Korrea, see the boarder of North Korea, Visit the Olympic Stadiums, then go to Kyoto and Tokyo in Japan and ride the transit and get immersed into the culture and city.

Do you agree college>high school? I've heard some people say they lived with other students during college... what is this like?

I would agree that college is better. The only down side is the debts you may collect (if not on a scholarship). Depending how big your college is, you have an insane amount of classes to choose from and possibly some fun electives (I heard that here they have a history of food and history of magic class). When it comes to dorms,I can only speak from a first semester experience since I commuted to community college. The way a hall is can be determined by a couple things. You have the option to be on a normal floor, honors floor (if grades are in good standing), alcohol free floors, or a quite floor. The last three would be likely to be the quietest option if that concerns you. However each hall here at least has dedicated quite times after a certain time at night, and then if there is too loud of noise to you, you can always report it to a RA on duty. Also here, certain types of students live in certain halls. For example there is more higher classmen in halls or neighborhoods and lower classmen in other. I am currently in a lower classmen one since it would be easier to meet knew people. My floor is fairly rowdy and super messy. Down the hall there is a huge splatter of hot coco on the wall and ceiling, and some of them are still in their "high school stage". When it comes to having a roommate you have a couple options. You could either go random or try to using an app to meet room with someone (you can live in a single but have fun paying more). Doing a roommate match would be your best match to find someone similar to you. I did a random roommate and it's not the best but looking at some of the other people on my floor, it could of been worse. After your first year, you will have friends to room with though. The guy across from me sells Adderall, a guy down the hall takes hits and Xanax, and multiple underage drinking and a few fake IDs. So yea, you will definitely meet some odd people living in a hall of a big college. I haven't gone to any frat parties but a lot of them seemed to be themed and some look pretty lame.

Pretty much all of what Wyatt said holds for me. I just finished first semester and I lived in what is called an apartment style hall. At my college there are three types:
    - Traditional: You have a room with anywhere from 2-4 people living in it. You get a mini fridge and a microwave, and the bathrroms/showers are down the hall. There is one bathroom on each floor of the high rise. Floors alternate between guys and girls
    - Suite Style: You either have your own room or share it with one other person. You then share a small living room with 2-4 other small rooms just like your own. Attached to the living room is a bathroom shared by the 4ish people living there. Guys and girls can be on the same floor but never in the same suite
    - Apartment style (what I have): Apartment of either 2, 4 , or 8 people. In the 2 person it is one bedroom with 2 beds, a small kitchen, bathroom, and a small living room. The 4 person is 2 rooms with 2 beds each and a kitchen, living room, and bathroom. The 8 person has 3 rooms with 2 people in each and 2 rooms with 1 people in each, a decent sized living room, 2 bathrooms, and a kitchen. The 2 and 4 person apartments have 1 couch and a table. The 8 person have 2 couches, a table, and some bar-like seating at the counter.

I got pretty lucky with the room I got because I am in my own room in the 8 person apartment. Honors students got priority housing. I don't talk to my roommates much but they are all pretty cool. A couple of them do drugs and pretty much all of us drink occasionally underage but no one is obnoxious. The apartments ones are nice cause the floors are clean. Floors are also mixed gender just all the same gender in each apartment
