I had sex with a lesbian once and she thanked me for showing her the other side of sexuality. She is now bisexual. It was a strangely beautiful experience.

If anything, this goes to show that no matter what someones current identification is as regards to anything, that can change very quickly and should be treated as such. Ideally, I would hope that everyone in the world will reach a point where it's no longer even a thought, and anyone can identify as anything (at any time) and not have to receive any judgement.

 

Experiences alter your perception of your sexuality, not your sexuality itself. I think it's so cool how a person can be bisexual and only realize it at a certain time, instead of 'turning' bisexual. Interesting stuff

"Love is love, just because mine isn't like yours doesn't mean I should be treated like ****" is what I always say to homophobes and ignorant people in response to their bullshit. Reactions are always priceless with that one!

I would like to say though, that if a woman identifies as a lesbian and doesn't like advances from a guy, it really needs to be respected. Lesbians in particular get a lot of grief for being exclusive with other girls - I've had several guys think they can alter my sexuality or make me realize I'm bisexual or straight, and it's very hurtful because it implies a relationship with a girl somehow isn't valid enough. Lots of people discover new things about themselves sexually and romantically over time - but some people are confident from the beginning and in that case you should back off. Lesbians can be hypocritical in that it's also tempting to want to "turn" straight women, or have them experiment with us, but at the end of the day it's very likely they'll end up with men - and if it makes them uncomfortable, I stop hitting on them.

Lesbians and straight men need to stop thinking they can turn girls!

 

Definitely. If someone in any sexual situation is in any way apprehensive, that situation absolutely should not continue.
