If your gonna do a less detailed tree worry more on getting the shape of it right, if the tree in brainwashed was done by you then you aren't bad. But you should know trees aren't something you can do really fast such as rocks. Shape of tree, bark, and foliage. Foliage can be simple or very time consuming; it can be a just outline if you want. Bark can be also simple or very time consuming, gotta use references on the kinds of bark. Finally, shqpe is the most important part so get that right

I posted the track as a preview, just to say that it'll be a while for my last track for my contest. This will be my main focus right now.
Just realized how similar this track is compared to one of THEPENGUINs tracks. xD Not a bad thing, of course.

Here's a thing, there really isn't a wrong way to detail if you've formulated your own style. Don't strive to make it generic or like everyone else's, but make it your best. Find what you really like to doodle on tracks or how you want your look to be. A few tips and tricks here and there don't hurt, but you know what you do best. If you don't like it, keep working at it. It'll get better
Lol also remember that **** don't always look the same... Don't copy from other people, sure you can look and see how they do it but don't do just what they did.

I think your wrong. I think he should steal, and copy until he develops his own personal style, as long as he gives credit where credit is due. If JacobCahoon posts that track, he better have a link to Mariana's Trench. I think most people think that good detail is loading lines on top of lines, but in my opinion when it looks real with clean, minimal lines it looks so much better.
Because the_rider "copied" my track, it's a long story, I had to start of new, again. I'm trying to develop my own style. Just by drawing this new one, I've discovered some things. I'm not going to post a preview of this one.
I gave him the code to add onto. He said he was good at this detail. I said not to post the track, but he did. He took out my signature too, and replaced it with his. He pretty much stole my track.
