I've always wondered how you came up with this? How can a pattern of one value of grey, white and black make a specific color?
At first I just wanted shades but over time I allocated a grayscale shade to the usual intensity of a colour. Sort of the electromagnetic spectrum how red goes to blue sort of thing.
Hey! Let's bring this thread back. Here is an 8 minute video of me making part of a tree. Any tips? https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B_bFXCmiDsXFOVhETGoxVmlyLUE/view?usp=sharing
Just a question but whats up with the cursor, yours makes a circle when you click, otherwise I like the detailing on these trees
it is cool to see how others approach their drawings I've kinda been doing a bad job in keeping this thread going and giving advice. I've just been kinda busy so when I make time for FR I'm mostly making tracks. I will make a before and after of something after I finish box CE Honestly at your rate I think you will get better simply by drawing more complicated stuff through the editor. edit: added vid onto first post
OK so I was wondering how you could give your track the look as if it were taking place during the night. I've tried with witchmist using black and white detail contrast. Anyone else with ideas on alternative ways to achieve this?
Put the moon in the sky and make mostly everything black with only the tippy top not completely colored in.
Looks great, but I would definitely speed it up. Be sure to mention that it was sped up, and include the actual amount of time it took, it's a pretty long process.
Does anyone have any ideas for backround trees that can go on a wintery type track? ( not a super detailed tree, just one that i can place throughout the track )
This is my all time favorite winter track. The black trees look pretty good in the background. http://www.freeriderhd.com/t/52185-snow-capped
Ness' winter wonderland has a tree covered in snow. Can be good reference Gotta work more on the bark and branches idk if you purposely made the tree 2d if you meant for that then it's fine. The snow atop the pine needles look good
