We're cool bro. It was probably todredrob with his massive spam, he was over 10 times everyone else in posts with nothing to show for it.

My bad, the momory is actually DDR4. Its just corsair dominator platinum.

And yeah, the 110 plus some really nice NZXT fans. The phantom has really good airflow, so its been really easy to keep temps low without having to go any crazy custom routes

Uh, can you explain how you run DDR4 with an i7 4790k lol?

ordered a couple of test adapters from this site http://www.mfactors.com/jet-5602ba-ddr4-spd-adapter-using-ddr3-dimm-spd-programmer-tester/

the one linked is similar, but I can't seem to find the original item that I ordered. I don't even know what the intended use of these is, but I had used their previous DDR2 to DDR3 adapters successfully so I figured why not. It was like 15$ each, and has been serving me well, other than a few times my computer crashed unexplainably, and I'm pretty sure this was the cause. I hope to sell my processor soon though so I can just upgrade to an lga2011 board

Dude, this is only an adapter for a DDR3 SPD Programmer/Tester (programs the SPD EEProm on the DDR4 module after the module is assembled). LGA 1150 doesn't support DDR4, and only the LGA 1151 socket (for the Skylake platform) is rumored to support both. And honestly, even if you somewhat did manage to use DDR4 RAM on a LGA 1150 socket, why on earth would you buy 32GB of ridiculously expensive RAM (seriously, 32GB of Dominator RAM is at least $1400, up to $1800 for the closest frequency rate of your, I assume, overclocked RAM - 3400mhz isn't even out yet)?. You could get 32GB of properly working (almost no noticable speed difference) DDR3 RAM for like $200.

And honestly, when the 980s were out (I assume you bought the cards between September and January), buying two titans in SLI was just downright stupid, unless you were doing like, CUDA work. Even back then, the r9 295x2 or SLI 780ti were a way better alternative.

No wonder you had to sell a Titan to buy audio stuff, you wasted like $2500 for nothing on this build.

e; sorry if I sound like an ass lol

Good job reading the product description! I can't explain how it works technically, but it's working currently haha. I just connected it like you'd connect any DIMM adapter for any intended use, and used some cable ties to hold them down, and have had no problems. I've had the titans (well currently one) since some time in 2013, so at that time, they were the best. Unnecessary? Definitely. Stupid? That's subjective. Honestly I did it just to do it, as I do with most of my computer building endeavors. It's fun to push limits and try new things, even if the community says "nah" or "not possible". Furthermore, a good friend of mine runs a resale business, so it's easy to get parts for relatively cheap (if not wholesale). I have like, I think five unused sticks of vengeance laying around that I could use as well if I really wanted to. Like I said earlier though, when you invest well, it's easy to build up a collection of anything, be it pc parts/musical instruments/magic cards.

e; yeah I rounded up, dominator only maxes out at 3333 afaik
eII; also, I'll take my leave now and come back with pictures. I don't see a use in arguing further about what I have concrete evidence of, and have been using almost daily
eIII; I didn't have to sell it, I chose to, so I could buy a few moog guitar pedals, because I like moog guitar pedals and only owned one. I'm a working adult, so affording **** isn't hard.

Alright, sorry for not believing you haha. This is like the most improbable build ever, I've never head of anyone using DDR4 on a LGA 1150 board, and it really doesn't seem to be supported. And you're right, at release, the Titans were the best, before being beaten out by the 780ti 6 months later. Awesome, but weird and questionable build!

The money spent on that RAM though... Even if it was at a discounted price or whatever... You could have gone for 2/3 way SLI 980s instead, and sell those outdated titans.
