Could be cool for racing, if an actual point system was created for getting on leaderboards.Then the points could be transferred and added to the total 'clan points' - the team or 'clan' with the most 'clan points' at the end of the month could win coins divided up within the top 10 highest scoring members of the clan (of that month).
The Contract Wars clan system would work nicely here; you donate xp ('xp' in FreeRider would be points) to your clan (10% to 75% contribution), clans get higher ranks and gets to a higher level when amount of xp required for the level is met, and there are people assigned as officers and lieutenants who can accept people into the clan. Coins could be donated into the clan to buy 'skill's, which can increase the amount of xp donated, amoung other things. The price to make a clan could be 10,000 to 25,000 coins (depending on what is decided upon) and the price for skills and increasing the size of your clan would be very costly.
I think it would be cool, if per say, collaborations could be put under multiple peoples names and groups/clans/clubs. And the groups with the most popular tracks would have a ranking board like the top authors.
