Welcome to the signup thread for BOTR, a FRHD tourney like never before!
Through the games, you will play many mini games. Trackmaking and ghosting will be here, but also luck, social, and skill mini games! (Such as snake)
As the tourney goes on, you will score points, either for your team, or for yourself. They can be currency, but are mainly for you to not get eliminated after every round.
There will also be a discord server for the lobby. This is NOT opened up yet, but will be once THE TOURNEY STARTS ON THE 12TH.
Lastly, you can sign up by saying in this forum, “I am joining BOTR”. Add the word “pizza” somewhere in it to prove you have read all of this important info.

 

In addition, there are NOT many set rules for the tourney yet. The competition and mini games change every round!

Well, I CAN give you a summary of what the contest will be like.
Battle Of The Riders is a variety tournament. Contestants will compete not just in ghosting and trackmaking, but also other mini games, such as external games and luck based challenges.
As the tournament goes on, you will get points, depending on your ranking. The person with the least amount of points after each minigame will be eliminated.
At the beginning of the tourney, every player will be split into 4 even teams. If I can not make 4 even teams, I will do a FFA minigame knocking out extra contestants.
But, later on, the teams will split into duos, which will eventually disband too. The remaining contestants will have to rely on their own skill, rather than the good graces of others, to progress.
Along the way of this journey, you can use your points to buy advantages for you/your team, or disadvantages for other players/teams. These should only be used if you are confident on winning the next game!
Throughout BOTR, your goal should be to make good friends, break unnecessary ones loose, and build up a good reputation. If you were in PDC (I know you, reaperch, were not, but in general), maybe your duos from there can have your back.
And that’s about it! I won’t leak to much more. There will be twists galore, mini games aplenty, and maybe the occasional Magica Cat! (Nya!)
