An Open Challenge

Max and I were supposed to make a "top 5 tracks since the launch of FRHD" for the news and we realized that this list, by most standards, is dominated by just two authors: Stig and Maple. Personally I found this quite sad and alarming.

WheelieMaker, pssst, EasternBiker, Elibloodthirst, nasrani, Joelbmx, Ness, xwinx, Crypt, Armain, pssst, CityShep, Max007x: I'm calling you guys out! As some of the best track makers this game has to offer, you need to step up and leave a more significant mark on this game. We need to steal some of the top 5 spots from those guys! Any two people on this list could make an epic collab too.

If you don't see your name, don't expect that you're off the hook. I'm issuing this challenge to anyone who thinks they have what it takes to be great! Make yourself known as an ambitious trackmaker, and aspire for glory.

I've improved a lot over the last year, I hope I'll be at that standard in a few years if I keep working hard

That being said you have to take into consideration how the requirements of having your track really applauded these days is way higher than they used to be on canvasrider/trackmill.
You must also consider the fact that imho none of the current active authors today have the skill to really take the big step up, yet. And its tricky because these are well integrated members who have grown their own habits and culture in their trackmaking process. Some might have become too lazy to make a really great track, some lack the motivation, some lack the dedication, and most will believe they can't.

its a fight to be the cockiest and most competetive trackmaker. If you constantly go around with the mindset "im gonna do a nature track or a skatepark because thats what i feel safe with" , then you're missing out on a lot of progress! I hate doing the same theme as everyone else. Take any of mine, maple's or lolz' tracks and put them up against any of the mentioned members' tracks. It is the wide range of themes and use of detail, that separates us. We always jump into unknown territory for each new track we make. Working on different themes from track to track, lets us progress faster, than anyother who sticks with their "comfort zone".

whenever i go into i track im like " today i want to make a track that puts lolz in the shade", whether i will or not is irrelevant, so is the theme, i wouldnt want to try to make a better track within the same theme though. Id want to make a totally different track with a totally different theme, yet matched in quality.
I also always compared myself with the best, and strived to be the best, and so i became one of the best. when lolz or maple show me a wip of theirs and its 10 times better than anything i ever did, do you think i would stop, or want do anything less? No, id work harder, id never let them outshine me like that. And it all comes down to what thoughts you'd make, when someone who you compare yourself with does that exact thing? Would you concur and settle with him being better? Or would you step it up?

And if you dont think maple or lolz are cocky, you dont know them. They can never settle to be anything less than the best.

 

I just gave you the receipe for success in not only free rider, but a lot of relatable arenas in real life aswell.
If you interpret it right, take some self criticism, and then settle to follow these guidelines. You're gonna take the step up. If you doubt it, you might start with reflecting upon what gives you that doubt, how do you ignore it, and how do you replace it with motivation.

Well I do have a forest track in the works for who has seen it...
But don't expect that to be out anytime soon. I might be dropping it if I have no time

 

If you don't see your name up there then that should be motivation enough to prove to yourself and others that you CAN make some seriously good tracks! The best of things are usually the hardest to obtain, but if you make it there it is totally worth it. Back yourselves guys and don't give up!

On a related note, I don't care what anyone says, this game is art, and it deserves to be taken seriously! I am declaring a loud "f*** you" to anyone who says "it's just a game, and it's not meant for drawing". This kind of attitude leads to laziness and negativity throughout the forums, and I don't want to see it anymore!
