my only problem with this is that I think the whole ghosting system (if not site) would have to be overhauled
you'd probably have to allow for more than one ghost on a track, a bunch of new features on the home page and/or a new page for ghosting features, a new forum section etc. it'd be worth the effort tho

30-2. Use spacebar as an advantage doesn't was a easy thing to learn... In Free Rider 3 it was impossible so when I came for FRHD I had to figure out what guys like Corn and dookie77 did for getting faster in the tracks... I didn't know in this period that it was a thing, but I decided to test things for get faster like press Z for decelerate sometimes, wheelie as much as possible and pause for think about my moves... And it worked, I improved myself (at least a bit) and spacebarring turned into natural reflexes... So use spacebar as an advantage is a technique like any another one, so you have to be good to use it. Besides that, in any place are wrote that is prohibited to pause the game, and if I pause 1 or 100 times in a track doesn't matter, because you have to be fair and the developers shouldn't work with 2 different positions about different techniques. They are different of course, but still techniques... :)

i think every ghost should have a count showing how many times the spacebar was pressed in its creation
that way spacebar users are still allowed to ghost as usual but the average user wont have any illusions that these ghosts are being made as they would normally play :)

edit: also i voted no to be contrarian

I have no problem with that, but as stig said earlier, evdrybody knows about spacebarring, so it wouldn't be a problem.
Most spacebarrers already admit they to it, too. So this would be pointless.
Edit: also, every time somebody asks me "ay F1N, how are you so fast mate!?!?!?" I reply, that I have played for a long time and I spacebar

Ghosts encourage people to not contribute tracks. I believe ghosting reduces the overall quality of tracks because it takes the focus away from them. Ghosts shouldn't be saved because that gives users an incentive to ride tracks instead of making them. This game shouldn't be a competition, those who aren't as good at riding might feel sad about themselves if they can't get top ghosts, so we need to get rid of ghosts and also track ratings too for the same reason. We should encourage all users to contribute, not just the good ones.

not everyone is good at making tracks. Without ghosts this game wouldn't be as fun. Also, people are good in different things, not everyone is good at making tracks, not everyone is good at ghosting. If we feature those good at making tracks, why not feature those good at ghosting? Its not fair to those that are good at ghosting but not making tracks. Also, if this game shouldn't be a competition, should we remove the featured section? If I replace a few words in your sentence, would you still agree? "those who aren't as good at [making tracks] might feel sad about themselves if they can't get [featured], so we need to get rid of [tracks] and also track ratings too for the same reason. We should encourage all users to contribute, not just the good ones." Pretty much the same concept. So should we get rid of tracks? and the game in general?

    sounds good to me

As I said before, we also need to get rid of track ratings. We shouldn't discriminate against those who are worse at making tracks

If you aren't talking about yourself when you say "those who aren't as good at riding", I'd love to tell you a story from the early cr days. When it was first made ei that ghosts can be saved, I always wanted to be on the top of the leaderboards. Sadly, that wasn't the case, because I sucked. Then I started practising and occasionally I made it to the leaderboard on big tracks, like Preview By lolz666. I even got first place on it before i got beat. So, nobody who joins this game should think that they immediately can beat who they want.
People who ghost DO contribute to the track the same way others do.
If we got rid of track ratings, you'd NEVER find a good track from all the spam. It would also make track making pointless because you would never know of anybody enjoyed your track nor would you know if it was even played.
Deleting ghosts would be pretty stupid too, because then it would be pointless to make tracks playable. Which would make this an art forum with no feedback. Pretty dam boring, huh?
Ghosting doesn't lower the quality of tracks either, because everybody gets to choose of they want to make tracks or not. Meaning, that every track maker gets to make that tracks for the ghosters to ghost.
Hibbedy wibbedy, I rest my case.

Edittt: took me way too long to write. Blame autocorrect.
It doesn't make less ppl contribute to tracks, because everybody who wanted to make tracks on the first place ja already doing so.

How do i get my phone to not correct "doing" to "fking" lol

If there were no leaderboards, you wouldn't have to be sad. You admit that you were sad in the beginning because you sucked. Nobody should have to feel this way. Not all of us have the time to cheat our way to the top of leaderboards by spacebarring. I don't know about you, but I don't need a bunch of virtual likes to feel good about a creation of mine. You are truly a sad man if you need that to motivate you to make more tracks. Also, the point of tracks is not to beat all the poor kids on this game and make them feel bad about themselves by endlessly spacebarring, it's about having fun :) also art isn't boring unless you are too simple minded for it.

In life, there will be someone better than you! What makes this game fun is working your way to the top. Sometimes you have to accept the fact that something you made isn't really that good. It happens in any aspect whether its a game or not. But acknowledging that your work isnt the best will make you strive to become better! Also, spacebarring is not cheating, but I won't really get into that as many have done so above. Also, having instagram likes motivates people doesn't it? Its just a virtual like right? Well people will go all the way just to get fake likes on instagram because it makes them feel good. So yes, likes can motivate people, especially in this game because it shows gratitude to your work.

You shouldn't put your happiness into the hands of other people's judgment. If it makes you happy to create tracks, your dreams shouldn't be crushed by others. I think you need to stop being s selfish and think of the younger members on this website who are having their souls crushed by others who spend hours upon hours trying to get approval from others.
