You do realise I was being sarcastic right? I see no logical reason to have guns when all it causes is mass shootings. And on top of that I dont see why you guys cant see that, or dont want to change to help protect innocent lives

Well I don't like making threads over pointless things but I agree with you this isn't the place for it but then if we get rid of guns people could still get them some how and way and I'm sure ppl could make them if they wanted to so when that person makes one then he/she can do more harm becasue no one can defend there selfs

Then how is it that Australia hasnt had a mass shooting since banning firearms to citizens without a permit? I know I said I wouldnt argue anymore but it is this statement that hurts my brain

 

I looked up mass shootings after the paris attacks and ended up at the port arthur attack webpage on wikipedia and to this day it is the only wikipedia page that I've read that was written like a timeline of events. not entirely sure why, but the article moved me

Who's to say they're all law abiding citizens? I could buy a gun now as a lawful citizen and use it the next day to murder en masse. Yes they will still get their hands on guns, but what we are doing obviously isn't working as there's a new shooting every day. It's worked for other countries, it'll work for us.
I completely agree with your argument, but leaving it the way it is wouldn't resolve jack sh*t.
