https://www.freeriderhd.com/t/208501-escape-communist-utah not my track. zoom out and look about. clearly, this thing took a while and it deserves attention. definitely one of the more unique tracks in a while. however, I really don't know how to react to the giant adolf hitler and the name of the track. mixed feelings about this. thoughts?
Um, feature it? That's unlike anything I've seen before and it's not pro communism. It sends a cool message, has fantastic artwork, and an awesome ride. Let fate decide it's place. There was a Mein Kampf track that got featured on .me, it's nothing serious.
.me was a kid's site. The same age group played their too. It's not pro Communism or pro Nazism so I don't see the issue. I'm actually astounded by the sheer effort and quality of this thing.
This dude just took a massive **** on everybody. Clearly feature worthy. Its been a good weekend for tracks. e; Jefe now this is symbolism
yeah. I was riding the fence because I didn't know whether the track was created to be offensive or created to convey a meaning. once you and pssst explained that it had a meaning to it, I changed my mind and am now l for the feature. also deleted my other post
personally i'm not getting the vibe. i see a lot of death and murder at the start but then the question is just wat as for feat, idk
This is so ignorant to what communism truly is. This has a horrible and stereotypical message tbh. So... no feat. It might offend some people.
All you people who've spent years on this game just can't seem to accept rising authors, like wtf? Give this man a feature, and add some more down-to-earth users who appreciate learning players. pssst and goofyinc for featured track team please.
Would anyone care to give their view on the meaning behind the track? Im wondering the symbolism wasnt done that well or if I just dont get it
Dude if every good first track that was really good then the bar of featuring would be very low I say this doesn't get a. Feature but that my opinion bottom line for him he has a load of potential however the grid I don't like it as much and it looks like he didn't do it that neatly idk if it was meant to be like that or not but I just don't think it should be featured
well none of you guys give two craps about ride quality (squiggles and incomprehensible trials all the way) sooooooooo, what's holding you up?
Hahah, the whole premise of a communist nazi track. It's actually baffling. That stuff is unique in a weird way
the meaning becomes a lot more clear when you look at it as an indictment of the totalitarianism of communism and how it denies freedom rather than just straight up communism to me the symbols back this interpretation up pretty well, consider first the orwellian all-seeing eye at the very beginning of the track, a clear symbol of surveillance and oppression, the stifling of one's freedoms. then we get to the bald eagle, one of the most obvious symbols of freedom (at least from an american perspective) you could possibly choose & which sets up the conflict between totalitarianism and freedom explored in the track. then you have hitler, one of the most notorious oppressors of all time & an almost universal evil, standing over the track as a warning of the unavoidable dangers of absolute power. he's also touching what looks like it could be a compass(?) to me, could be some masonic imagery which could definitely fit into the theme of the track. then it ends with the rider escaping totalitarianism but i dont really have any thoughts on the exact meaning of the sun and "what does freedom mean to you?" that are really backed up by anything, i'd love to see him give some insight into the track himself edit: and of course as mentioned there's the death stuff mentioned in the thread already, i think it's clear enough how that ties into an anti-totalitarian message also i dont necessarily endorse or agree with any of the ideas in this explanation, that was just what i got out of it all in all a cool and surreal track, i think its feat worthy but what do i know
Yep that's what I got from it for the most part. The quote at the end really gets you thinking and the feint gun behind adolf is really quite breathtaking, really gives it a vibe of rebellion or an extreme desire for freedom, and it could also be interpreted as himself since he did commit suicide, and he did fall into a dark place because of his actions. The way he worked his drawings into the track is astounding, they're not just floating in random places. I'm shocked that you guys care so much about the communism and nazism, he's obviously not in favor of it, and he's using it as a means of getting across his message that it's not okay.
Yeah I think the eagle, the eye and hitler are really obvious. The ones I do not get are the sharktank, the hat in the cave and the shaded figure
i don't think those are necessarily symbols, i think they're just intended to help build the mysterious and shady world in a surreal way
